Does this "pulse" the foot lever? -
Another try on that link: (Is this correct @v11_meticcio?) https://www.ansa.it/canale_motori/notizie/due_ruote/2022/09/07/giornate-mondiali-guzzi-a-mandello-la-festa-dellaquila_ab2e6efd-00eb-4a3d-9c20-5bd0e5491c17.html

Not just a sticking piston or pad failure? Is the rotor blue from overheating? -

Oh, no! SSR II, 2006, redux? . . . -
Thanks for sharing your plan and trip with us, @Biglangster! Some great advice, here, already. I opened your pics in Dropbox, right clicked on the image for menu, and selected "Copy Image Link", paste into the reply box and, hey: A very nice late model black LeMans!

@KINDOY2 is correct. The highest position of the factory part is the lowest position of the improved part. Also, @dowieze, your connecting rod looks awfully long. Check that its length aligns the shift lever arm square to the gearbox lever arm . . .

As a willing audience, I would have whipped out my "mille lire " without even looking around! -

Haha, I think you are right! But doesn't it make for great theatre? -
Eighteenth (XXVIII) South’n Spine Raid 2022

Seriously, I've seen riders leave Tellico at 86ºF ("feels like" 90º) and encounter the morning fog/afternoon rain at The Divide (over a mile above sea level) and discover "feels like" 49ºF in their cotton clothes, wet, at speed. Up in those mountains, where we paddle the "white water", there is a (hypothermia) phrase: "Cotton Kills." > Knowledge is Power < (jus' sayin') -

Hi-resolution forecast models are coming into range. I see Saturday, up on the Cherohala, 61-67ºF. With morning fog and rain later. Subtract "wind chill factor" at speed. > What does this mean to me < . . . Leaving Middle Tennessee after three months of record temps and heat indices, it is hard to add "layers" and winter gloves to the load out. But: Been there. Done that. Consider it done . . . Actual temps on the Cherohala can be 10-15º below the Tellico Plains temps. And "Feels Like " temps even lower, especially if we get wet . . . -
If I am not mistaken, this goes to the "Battery" / charging indicator light in the gauge cluster (for those early V11 that do not have both right and left turn indicators.

You've had the tank off? Had eyes on the air box/filter?

Otherwise, my luggage space is getting tight, what with all the "priorities" . . . -

SpineRaiders can always be counted on to structure their luggage around the priorites . . . Bourbon ✔️ Grappa ✔️ IPA ✔️ I know asking this is as dull as box of dirty wrenches, but is anyone bringing a computer OS running GuzziDiag? (If so, I'll bring my cables . . . ) -
Thanks, gentlemen! I've looked at that fender in Germany before. I might would go that many Deutsche Marks plus shipping if it were NOS, but not in that condition. Thanks, @Scud for the generous offer! Unfortunately, I do not have a good painter to call upon. Let me look into that option further. Thank you, again! If I must paint, I had thought about finding a carbon fiber fender and leaving a cf stripe down the middle. I am less sure about what cf fenders might fit the early forks or if availability would be any better than the silver......

So, help me out, here, with some history on this V11 . . . You have never seen it run? The classic, "Ran when parked scenario?" And it was stored in a cool, dry place, or under a tarp behind the shed? For how long?

Weather is looking like typical late summer, Tennessee: scattered afternoon thundershowers after 1pm. Otherwise, no "severe" weather. Just be weather aware. Getting caught up on the Cherohala in an afternoon lightning storm with no shelter is bad form . . . -
If the shift plate must come off for the new, improved SuperSpring, @dowieze, definitely apply @Lucky Phil's deft methods to the internal shift mechanism:

For sure these tachs commonly read 300-500 rpm too high. Must be easier to stick the needle on there on the assembly line. Definitely matters when setting the idle and it is actually 300-500 rpm low (1050-500=650!) I'm glad you found some tach threads. From memory, I was thinking there are magnets that can come loose? A spring can break? Maybe a diode that can go bad? Thanks for getting back with what you find!

Gentlemanly of @paulnaz to offer a replacement! Otherwise, @dbarb3, you can add your name to Chuck's (next) growing list . . .

* Bump : Any silver Sport front fenders out there? Added a "fender welt ." Just like a '32 Ford . . . Plus a "fender washer " (it's what they're for, right?) (It really does not look that coarse, in person . . . does it ? )

V11 Misfire when hot on low throttle only - advice please
docc replied to MikeMetal's topic in Technical Topics
Hi, MikeMetal! Well, you have definitely come to a place full of folks that LOVE to figure out what has gone awry with a V11 ! That low throttle mis-fire when hot is a sensitive area for the V11, no doubt. Any relationship to the clutch work might suggest the throttle linkage got jostled out of synch, or perhaps the regulator is nudging the TPS. Here is a great way to baseline your tuning parameters: Keep us in the loop!
