  1. And bigger valves. Different head. Lighter flywheel if you count that as part of the "engine." Perhaps different throttle bodies and mapping? 91 "brake" horsepower versus, what, about 70 for the cruiser motors?
  2. arek, good luck finding the motor. A V11 motor in a Cali-Sone should be a hot set-up! For best response, go to your profile and list a location, at least by country, or even more specific if it's a big country . . .
  3. Learn something here every day!
  4. Especially after seeing that crankshaft twisted in half on the November 30, 2013, post!
  5. Keep an eye to the sky, there, buddy! Severe weather coming at you from the west-southwest likely for sometime Tuesday into Wednesday . . .
  6. It is a standard 3w bulb you can match up at the auto parts store. Be sure the socket is keeping a good ground - they are known to wiggle loose. EDIT: this one is stamped: "OSRAM SK 12V 3W 128"
  7. Here's picture of my CRG mounted to the factory bar weight inserts that I had machined for the mirror clamp. In addition, I pushed some 1/4 inch lead balls up into the clip-on. There turn to a corroded mess over time, so I wouldn't do that again. My local machine shop charged my $85 US to turn down the weights to may dimensioned drawings.
  8. I found thumper's "dime fix" post in this thread. Those shaft ends you see wet are pressed into the side plat and do not rotate. There should be no reason you could not run a bead of, say, JB Weld epoxy around the clean joint and stop and seeping there without removing the side plate. If you elect to remove the sideplate, make sure the gearbox is in neutral when you take the plate off. You'll see index marks on the the toothed selector plates to confirm the neutral position of the shift mechanism.
  9. That is an odd rpm to have a hiccup . . . it ought to be roaring like a scalded dog at that point!
  10. BRAVO, Konstantin!!!
  11. The word is "stiction". Is that a portmanteau?
  12. MGCycle in Wisconsin MPH Cycles, Houston , Texas Moto International, Seattle, Washington There are others, of course, and some great resources in Germany (HMB Guzzi) and the Netherlands (Teo Lamers)
  13. Wait, what? TRIPLE? What's that all about?
  14. Sheesh . . . Understatement of the Year! FWIW, the gearbox capacity is 850 ml or 0,850 liter. Not sure about that 2.8 l thing.
  15. I found the parts manual also very helpful. Download here from Teo Lemers, Netherlands

Bravo, Frank!! Thanks for posting - hope you'll be here more. It's great to hear what you have to say about Moto Guzzi and your fine looking champagne LeMans!
  17. Hi, bivas! If you like Motul (excellent products!), look at their 7100 4T 20W-50 for your Scura. Engine oil capacity: 3,5 liters. As a fuel filter alternative, I use a quality built filter for the Isuzu Trooper. It is slightly shorter and requires a slightly longer fuel line from the pump.
  18. Congratulations on the new ride!!
  19. I dunno about that. Mine looks like it's stamped 09 00, but my build date is 3-2000 and I was riding it by August . . . Maybe it's a "use by" date.
  20. Pretty sure jwh20 just scooped that one in the Indianapolis listing!
  21. It's a stunner! Looks bone-stock. Good for you ! !

  24. Clean up your piston movement while you're at it. The brakes get so much better with them evened out!
  25. It's visible ahead of the tank, but you chaps with a full fairing will have a harder time seeing it. Not sure if you can peer in from above or below the fairing and see it?
