  1. going slow on V11 does make sense just like drive Saab 2.0T and hope to have consumption lower than 10l/100km. It is possible, of course, point is, does it worth it?
  2. The AMP Superseal connectors look like the ones used by General Motors. They are called Weatherpac connectors.... Probably the best thing ever made to connct wiring harnesses together. this type of seal-connectors are used parallely even on V11! I just dont get the point why the used for horn wire and for such key wiring like charging is Must been some important football match... or just regular Friday...
  3. Don't know if it is an optical illusion due to the lighting or what, but it also appears that besides trimming the front fairing to fit upright handlebars[1], whoever owned it also opted for the aftermarket rear body work/seat cowl to eliminate the "hips" that were standard on the original 1100 Sport bodywork. Looks worse, but my understanding is that is more comfortable for a passenger? Seems like the previous owner really wanted a Centauro [upright posture, etc.] & settled for modding the Sport to suit? true true, that's the reason why it was quite cheap and since I will throw the OEM parts away... I wouldn't been strong enough to cut Sport 1100 in original shape
  4. much like mine busted bullet connectors after riding 5 hours in rain. Changed tham to AMP Superseal ones and not issue. Even new owner of my V11 says it is charging perfectly!
  5. so... here we go guys, any idea where to get 5th gear wheel? In Stein-dinse not available and from Stucchi I reveived info that they have both carburators available (question was: do you have 5th gear wheel for Sport 1100 (carb)? ) anyway, have some spare parts that are not needed, original tail piece (slightly scratched but overall in good condition), pilot and passanger seat, original x-over plus pipes from engine to X-over.... shipping worldwide
  6. just those from ebay... the 5th speed is howling but it is not big deal, front fairing was cut to accomodate naked handlebars (WTF????). It went for reasonabla price in the end. Anyway, all I need is the frame, engine and wheels.
  7. Thx Jaap! And to celebrate 90th anniversary of Moto Guzzi I have bought Sport 1100 yesterday
  8. Staropramen.... that reminds me of high school years. Our building was just 800m away from Staropramen brewery. Combineted with fact we just hitted 16 yrs of age... Not bad at all! To your healt orangeokie!
  9. Thanks Jrt! Usually some wine, mostly red wine from Spain like Tarapaca or some heavy czech wine. The Morgan rum you can see is a medicine RHIP, Budvar is good, but there are better ones! Breweries in Czech (in english)
  10. Hi All, maybe someones will remember me, I had V11 4 yrs ago, badly crashed it, repaired it, equipped with Ohlins, ported heads, PWC, raced some circuits and sold it with 100.000km on the clock. I wanted change. Guzzi was known to me down to single bolt. So I got Ducati Sport Classic, crashed one from Italy. Equiped it with some shiny bits here and there and thought it will be enough for some time. What a FOOL was I!!! One ride with friend and his Nero Corsa opened my eyes again. It is not Ducati what I need. I need a Guzzi. Very very badly. The Ducati is pleasant, neck-braking rider position, no comfort, fast, agile, shiny, loud and sweet. But as many said before - Once you taste Guzzi, you're leave it and never try again, or, stick to it whole life. So, after a year or so I have logged again to this wonderfull site and will be most happy if you take me back. Oh yes, and I forgot, the new beast will be 1100 Sport (not V11 anymore). Well.... there will be just engine and frame from Sport 1100. I've fallen in love with bikes from Dynotec Germany and since I cannot offer a new one, I will have to built up my own. some pics of my Ducati to please your eyes...
  11. good to hear you're OK! sorry for your rsv-r, it is beautiful bike btw. Do you want my V11? Its cheap and, you'll be retard no-more!
  12. Finally I got new and much better payed job so I can afford new bike. So until the V12 comes out I am moving to the Ducati side of the moon. So. My V11 is for sale. Two times crashed, one was bad, second was just cosmetics case. Over 80.000km on the clock (tacho shows 37000km). Used as daily commuter so not much shiny thing but I will do the best. It has ported heads, new valves, chain tensioner etc. one thing that I have to mention is leaking oil pan but I will provide new owner with new gaskets. Paint is not good, as well as engine block paint used to be better. There are BMC pod filters and Power Commander III. Ohlins front suspension, as well as oem marzocchis. I am asking 2900€ for whole bike with ohlins and Marzocchis, or 2200€ for bike without ohlins. This bike needs care, which I was not able to provide due to daily riding to work. Or it can be used just for parts. cheers Slavek
  13. Hold it Jaap. Others are running nice and reliable, day for day, year after year. Some obviously don't, in 9 out of 10 cases after the innards were forced to see daylight. Hubert true, i am dealing with this problem every two years. This just came little bit earlier I thought it will come. Better it broke now, than in the middle of Germany
  14. I am really sorry. Ulster meeting was too far away for me and now this...
  15. Dear friends My crankshaft gasket said "NO, you're not going anywhere". So I am really sorry but I cannot attend the meeting. Hope there will be another chance meeting you somewhere else. Slavek
  16. Yeah, if you're speeding or your vehicle is too loud then that is cause for you to be pulled over. But putting up a road block that only pulls out the motorcyclists and checks them for papers and inspects their bikes for legal compliance is illegal (for now) here. hm... we got used to it. Specially when WSBK or GP races are in Brno, police check most of motorcycles. Huge numbers of bikes has been stolen years prior. No problem with being stopped by police. In Czech they care for speed and VIN codes. Aftermarket exhaust system or loudness is not a big deal here.
  17. I use CF from Aprilia RSV year 01. As Paul said, costed me under 100€ and producer is sebimoto but I must say it is very thin compared to OEM CF guzzi fender
  18. yes! Pirelli Diablo Strada are very good tires! I was also very happy with them. Anyway, if you ride bit sporty or goes sometimes on track, try Michelin Pilot Power 2CT. Just perfect tire for Guzzi. Rear tire last roughly 5000-6000km and handles like heaven! cheers Slavek
  19. hey, I forgot! BBQ for me please can't wait, it is comming!
  20. picked up Guzzi after 16days without riding. First 50km I had dozens of heart attacks caused by Guzzichondria - I guess, they will cure itselves after few km's don't worry about the sounds
  21. when assembling I use standart heavy vaseline just to hold the small pins in upper selector wheel in place. other things are not necessary to be greased
  22. Should it be this ? ? I had Gbox selector device dissmounted two weeks ago (yes, spring) and have no idea from where else this should be. Slavek
  23. hoystaab! it looks pretty good without the fairing! Simply nice and stunning! Slavek
