  1. Does your Italian woman read your posts?
  2. A Shiver?
  3. Sorry for not getting back in the post quick enough. The BEST tool you can use to find a draw or drain is a bulb or test light. Remove one of the battery cables and put the test light in series with the battery cable and battery terminals. If there is a current draw the test light will be illuminated. If so remove fuses until the light is extinguished. If and when this happens check a wiring diagram to see what the circuit controls.Reinstall the fuse and start disconnecting components until the light goes out again. Be deliberate and methodical about this and you will not make any mistakes. Electronics stores sell cleaners, solvents, lubricants, etc. to help to salvage any switches that might be in poor shape. Good luck and keep us informed! p.s. the term "short" is the most misused word in electronics.
  4. We need more information. what other symptoms, how long has this been going on, battery condition, etc.?
  5. It does not appear you have installed a PowerCommander module. When you go to MI (i hope they sell them) have them to install a PC module and "map" it for your bike. You will not regret it!
  6. Twin turbo R-X7..fastest go-kart i have ever driven...I got out, walked away and vowed never to do it again.
  7. You do enjoy typing! If you get on that bike like you do this keyboard you sure put it to the test!
  8. The 18th amendment was Prohibition. The 21st amendment was the repeal of Prohibition.
  9. I hope that's 6 degrees C. !
  10. Automobile magazine referred to them as "revenue producers". The unfortunate way they function bothers me. If EVERYONE obeyed every highway rule, these uniformed people would be out of work. Then a new set of laws would be legislated to get the money flowing again..
  11. I noticed you're 50 yrs. old with two dirt bikes. I was 50 when I broke 4 ribs,1 big toe, sprained my right wrist, bruised my right heel and donated my RM 125 to my girlfriend's son. p.s. For those of you who have never ridden a dirt bike, only Pegasus could feel any better!
  12. These bikes are fun, but they can become money pits!
  13. If you would like to read the article, I will research the "Paducah Sun" archives and send it to you.
  14. Afer readind an article in the area newspaper about a local owner/operator of an aircraft dying because of the oil filter backing off and losing oil. This taught me it is not that big of a deal to remove the pan. I do and will attatch a hose clamp to the filter after installation. A buddy was servicing his Jackal and found the filter "finger" tight. A hose clamp is $1.00, how much is a rebuild?
  15. I was goin to ask who was the "hottie" on your bike, but that's you!
  16. You said #545 came from the US. You can you go to carfax.com and for $ enter the bikes VIN to get state licenscing history any DOCUMENTED wreck history. Or you can research through former owners(good luck) any crash history. falling of the stand? You could drop this thing off the top off your house and it shouldn't hurt the trans. case. I hope you get it back together and running good! p.s. Invercargill ,as in Burt Munro?
  17. Have you found the reason the flywheel and transmission case cracked? In the automotive field, a loose trans. to block mounting bolts or an alignment (missing dowel pins) problem would cause this. Were ANY bolts found loose in the disassembly? I and especially YOU do not want a repeat of this problem.
  18. those are bad about running the battery down, mybe you should ride it every so often and charge the battery......
  19. Why did Guzzi show something this erotic and prophecy it's coming and NOTHING happened ? Anyone with $$$$ would have forked over $25k for this.... It's like the best wet dream of your life and waking up right before blast-off with your mutt licking your face!
  20. call me insane...I'd rather have one street legal MGS-01 than any 6 Ducatis ever built..
  21. if you want more give me an artist and album title!
  22. When you are changing this fluid, refill, run and drain until this fluid looks perfect. Don't worry about the cost of oil doing this, it is less expensive than the cost of a gearbox overhaul. Didn't the oil show any difference looking in the sight glass?
  23. That's why BOSS HOSS sells them. 350 and 454 Chevys in,on or around a motorcycle. That's like having a 20" weenie. It's big but what can I do with it?
  24. True rednecks crash with "beer in hand" !
  25. Don't worry, adjust the valves, and ride. #1 the head doesn't wear. Guides, seats, valve faces, cam lobes, etc. wear. #2 unless your bike has a burnt valve or leaks compression you have no worries. #3 I don't think M/G heads are going to give trouble except for the soft cam lobes on some bikes.
