  1. Packing camping gear on RM ready for March Hare Rally this weekend
  2. I've not got a major problem with my RM but was more interested in what other members for forum thought of this product. Strange I would have thought this would have got more comment!
  3. With this its easy to revert back to original settings. Reflashing requires sending ECU away so bike is off road in meant time and if you don't like what you get you have to go through whole process again to revert back to original settings. I will send a email to them asking if it suits V11. My mufflers have been opened up so wondering how you adjust for that.
  4. Hi Has anyone tried this addition to fuel injection on V11's www.finebauforge.com It seems a far cheaper alternative to a Power Commander?
  5. When I was getting the new tyres fitted I asked shop to fit 90 degree valve stems. They found the ones they had where to wide to fit through valve hole and not long enough. Has anyone know if you can get ones to fit and if so where?
  6. Hi Just had a pair of Metzler Z8's fitted to my RM and have noticed the front tyre has been fitted the wrong way around i.e. the arrow on tyre wall is pointing backwards when its at top. We have some discussion when I picked up whether it was correct way around. The shop said new tyre was fitted in same direction as old one.It will be going back to get fitted the correct way around. Anyway my question is what happens if you run tyres fitted the wrong way? If old tyre was fitted in wrong direction the answer is not a lot!
  7. Try Ghezzi Brian. I asked them in July this year and they had a Carbon Fibre one for sales 220e incl freight to NZ
  8. I got my Sachs rebuilt by Kiwi Suspension Services here in NZ. They replaced the spring with a Orlins & replaced oil & seals. Forks got Racetech treatment at same time. Ride much more stable.

    V11 Rack

Hi Has anyone got a V11 rack/carrier they want to sell? Ideally one like either of the attached pictures.
  10. Got centrestand fitted. Ended up taking mufflers off a loosening the rest. I'm left with a short length of steel flat with a set of nuts and bolts at each end that won't fit? Made two steel plates up that link centre of stand to mounting bracket under rear of motor. Haven't had a bike with centre stand for a while so having to relearn art of rolling bike backwards onto stand. Great for doing maintenance and packing bike for trips.
  11. I've found a post by Greg Field that explains fitting center stand. Good job for the weekend
  12. Hi I've just purchased a center stand that I want to fit to my V11 RM. Can someone supply photo(s) showing how it attaches? I've looked at photos on V11 site but all are from side. A photo from underneath bike should show what I need to know
  13. Access the web site. No recalls for the RM. Good I think
  14. Hi I'm after a centre stand for my 2001 MG V11 Rosso mandello. I've tried Moto International & TLM but the say they are not available any more. Any suggestions?
  15. Thanks for the link. I will try local signage guys first. I got my carbon fibre kit via Ebay USA from an outfit who sign themselves Eurotrash. Attached is a photo of what kit I got comprises. Did you get the same?
  16. Hi Steve I notice in your picture that you don't have the standard black pad on your tank. Is this an accessory? If so where did you get it?
  17. Hi Any suggestions where I can get the 2 decals/stickers on side cover of my Vll 2001 RM? I've just got hold of a carbon fibre kit for a Vll and would like to at least put the 'Limited Edition' decal on side covers but can not find it listed in any parts manual. Why get carbon fibre when RM already has CF front guard & fairing? Because a previous owner had painted them red and the red doesn't match the tank etc!
  18. 304 here ex japan now lives in nz cheers cash
  19. Yes you can remove clutch slave cylinder without removing swingarm. I just had to to change bleed nipple on cylinder How do you remove the thrust bearing? There is not much room behind the motor to use a puller!
  20. Has no one got an answer to my question????
  21. Tried new Z8 on front with half worn Z6 on back. No good would not tip into corners smoothly. Put new Z8 on back. Now better than with Z6's on. Stable at speed and under braking excellent roll into corners. Does any one want to buy a half worn Metzler 180/55 Z6?
  22. Ok I've tried to loosen the clutch bleed nipple so I can replace it with speedbleed nipple but no go(It's been chewed up by vice grips of previous owner and now me!) so I'm going to remove clutch master cylinder so it will be easier to remove the nipple. I've loosen the 3 mounting screws. What's going to happen when I remove the screws and cylinder? Is everything behind the cylinder going to stay in place or come flying out at me and leave me with a mess of parts that I won't know how to put back together? Or should I have left this to the Guzzi dealer?
  23. No clutch or oil drip! What's involved in sorting the dry thrust washer?
  24. How do you know if clutch needs replacing or is on its way out? My RM lets out a short squeal when taking off from stand still. Does this mean clutch is failing?
  25. Our thoughts are with you in this time of need
