  1. Looks like a Hollywood explosion! Glad he came out okay.
  2. Really nice bike, but from what I've read not very comfortable on long trips (seat) BTW, I really enjoy your various choices for a new bike. From a Valkyrie to this is quite a big step!
  3. Öhlins shocks F&R are mounted on several later V11 models and I think there are still some new or used available at forum members. They will chime in. Can't help you with the settings on the OEM stuff.
  4. Nice!
  5. I have never seen a V11LM with the same setup I have (had). Maybe mine is a Tenni incognito.
  6. Mine came from the factory this way. This summer the complete setup will be on the for sale list on this forum.
  7. What a great use of space! All the electrical stuff in the rear: The hugger mount was a bit flimsy, so my brother made something nice: Rear lights and indicators in one connector so that I can take license plate and the other stuff off with only two bolts: The Rossopuro triple-tee looks great! The brake and clutch oil reservoirs are mounted on the triple-tee with the original brackets slightly altered. Placed on the usual spot thy wouldn't clear the fairing. Front fairing frame had to be altered slightly and head light mount had to be repositioned with 2 brackets to have the fairing line up nicely with the tank
  8. I moved Roy's new thread to the FAQ (edited the topic title) and could open the attachments logged in as a normal member, so it should work.
  9. Apart from the fact that my wallet is much lighter, I think there will be plenty of kilos gone off the bike. I will weigh it when it's ready. It sure looks an afwul lot lighter!
  10. Just an update: Bike is almost ready! As far as I could see yesterday, the only things that have to be done are new brake lines, exhaust (thinking about the Stucchi Breva 2-in-1 X-over and Mistral exhaust) and the license plate stuff. At the same I'll have the paintwork done and then she's ready for the road/track! Can't wait!
  11. The vikings are coming! Mothers, hide your daughters and Guzzi riders, hide your cafe racers! @ Guy: looking great!
  12. Just got back from my 12 day trip to the UK (and a bit of the Irish Republic). Great! The meeting in Ballintoy was the highlight of the tour. Big thanks to BFG for organizing it and I also want to thank Antonio and Jens for putting up with me for a week! I'll post some pics when I find time.
  13. Dolphins bring you luck. I found out that's true! I completely trashed my rear tire on the way to Belfast, but made it safely to the tyre center which was open on Bank Holiday!
  14. I'll give you a call this evening.
  15. Tree sap, horrible stuff. But mostly sticky, so I think it's not the case here.
  16. Keith, you have 2 PM's. Our itinerary so far: Monday: Colchester to South Wales (Brecon Beacons) Tuesday: Scenic tour in Wales (Start and finish in Brecon Beacons region - if you know some nice roads, let us know! Wednesday: Going North and maybe stay at Baldini Thursday: Short run to Holyhead through Snowdonia - ferry to Dublin Friday to Sunday: Ulster meet (Sheep Island view) The BMM is still an option; we decide on that on Sunday evening in Colchester, if so, Guy, we have your number!
  17. Keith, thanks for the offer! Keep in mind we are three (Antonio, Jens and myself). If possible we would like to meet and stay over, but we don't want to overextend your hospitality. We have tents with us, maybe that's a possibility? After visiting the BMM, we were thinking of touring in Wales for a couple of days and then hop over to Ireland. Maybe you have some places / roads in Wales we just have to do? Cheers!
  18. Good idea! A nice, quiet evening in a pub would be great. Guy, when will you be there?
  19. Common problem. Don't know if they're still available, but check this thread: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6893
