  1. HIDEOUS!!!
  2. When I read the topic title I thought it was some kind of spam message. But after reading it I now it is a valid question for help from a forum member. My personal opinions on pagents for young children aside, I see no problem in this. If someone has a problem with this please take it up with Richard Z through PM or e-mail. I'm closing this thread, to avoid a discussion (mostly based on cultural differences) on a topic that, imho, doesn't belong on a motorcycle forum.
  3. FYI: the Aprilia Tuono handlebars are exactly the same I think.
  4. This forum MAY disappear, but if it does it won't be my doing! I like it here and I've met a lot of nice people through it. As long as it has a function in the Guzzi community, it will stay online. And there are active forums and discussion groups on lots of "derelict" classical bikes; why not for the V11? Not broadening the target group, i.e. including the newer models is imo logical. They're rather different from the V11 series. And I think a type based forum like mine should be run by someone who is affectionate about these bikes and preferably owns one. So don't worry. Just keep posting and asking questions. We can go on for a long time. And I still see a lot of former V11 owners visit this site on a regular basis and help out new owners. Nice thought.
  5. That's bad... Best wishes and speedy recovery!
  6. Today I received a really nice black Ace Cafe t-shirt in the mail. However, the sender was not mentioned. Anyhoo, thank you for the gift! As by BFG's advise, I'll wax it first before I wear it.
  7.
  8. In short, he's wrong on the 1000 CC road legal MGS. No such thing. You are probably right in assuming he meant the Daytona. There are a few road legal MGS-01s around, but they were converted by their owners or dealers.
  9. Wasn't that called 8-track?
  10. http://www.joomster.com/index.php?option=c...9&Itemid=41 Now it's for sale Croatia!!
  11. Crap, instead of hitting the reply button, I hit the Edit button and edited Luhbo's last post. Sorry 'bout that!
  12. Investing in a MotoGP team, newly designed bike or rebadged, will still cost major Euros. And Piaggio wants to (eventually) see it's money back... The examples you use, Laverda and Buell, weren't (or won't be) very successful. - Using a new MG race bike will have to result in a new MG sports road bike, and that extra risk (very high investment) Piaggio will not take. - Rebadging just won't do. Then they'll also have to sell rebadged Aprilia's (RSV Mille or the likes) with the risk of alienating their current target group in which they already have invested a lot with all the new "touring" models. Plus they risk losing the younger Aprilia riders in their customer base. Maybe not in Germany or Holland, but how about other countries? But I agree with you: MG competing in MotoGP or WSB again would be great!
  13. Hi and welcome to the site! Good to hear your decision to purchase the V11 was influenced by this site.
  14. Although MG is an established name in racing, I don't think Piaggio will use it's name in future racing projects. MG brand has become a too niche brand (very limited older target group) to be of much interest for Piaggio. If they enter in MotoGP or WSB they will use Aprilia. Entering has only one goal and that's to sell bikes! And I don't see MG producing crotch rockets. (or even use re-badged Aprilias). Nice thought though!
  15. I think someone at MCN has smelled a rat...

  17. I don't know exactly where this thread is going...
  18. A bit nationalistic, but this one really did it for me when I was young: Van Veen OCR 1000 And my all time favourite: BSA Rocket Goldstar
