  1. Here's what one looks like. The wires are potted, but if that sealing washer was cracked..
  2. ^^^ What Lucky Phil sez. BIL Harley Bob has EGTs and CHTs on all 6 cylinders of his Continental. He gets worried about them not all being the same. I told him, "too much instrumentation."
  3. *I have no experience gluing the magnets back into the housing, but if I was going to try it, I'd use my go to metal epoxy. https://www.smooth-on.com/products/metalset-a4/ FWIW, I have a Chinese Valeo on the Mighty Scura and the AeroLario. Both appear to be OEM quality. Cheap. (Guzzi content) For the price, I can't be bothered to get dirty overhauling an old starter.
  4. You may not believe this, Bill. but there is a learning curve. The best tip I can give you is to make absolutely sure the side opposite the one you are working on is totally down in the drop center.
  5. Three nations disconnected by a common language..
  6. Semantics.. but you are right, John.. firing order is 1-2-1-2, but they are *not* equally spaced.
  7. Turn and Bank if you are asking what it stands for.
  8. My understanding is the left works a little harder than the right because of the firing order. (?)
  9. *If* it's a Nero Corsa, I'd go with that one.
  10. The "redline" for an Odyssey is 15V.
  11. I haven't refreshed my memory but it says the T3 had chrome bores. If it does, and it has been sitting for years, they are toast. I have a G5 that has been meticulously maintained with 100,000 miles, and I would ride it anywhere. Sitting for years is death on machines..
  12. I'd rather not know, Guzzler. I also had a 57 Pontiac convertible that for some reason is pretty valuable. Most of us probably would like the use of a time machine occasionally.
  13. I had a 64, the first year of roll up widows IIRC. Got in a baby way and traded it for a Nash station wagon.
  14. Well, that's a relief. I didn't realize it came from a forum guy.. no offense intended.
  15. Reading between the lines.. I was blowing the 30 amp fuse, didn't know what to do after blowing through the money of buying a new alternator and regulator, and pulled the fuse. That's my guess, anyway. Not to worry, you are in the right place to get it sorted.
  16. Maybe because there is a short that is blowing the fuse?
  17. I'm pretty careful about that kind of stuff.. but I went out and got my modeling clay. Unfortunately, it's gone missing but it *appears* to have plenty of clearance. Plastic or not, pressure on those posts would not be a good thing..
  18. That would be pretty exciting..
  19. I saw some pure copper commemorative coins about the size of a silver dollar for a dollar. Thought, "hmmm, I'm tired of fighting those stupid connections.. made a couple of angled brackets. Cheap. (Guzzi content)
  20. You haven't seen a busy rear axle until you see an early Spot.. It takes two men and a boy just to assemble it.
  21. From my maintenance log: For future reference on brake howl, rear brake side bearing problems, the rear spacer is 113.2mm. Some were short by 1mm.
  22. Gives new meaning to the term "smite."
  23. Awesome. That's doing it up right.. We faced the East and a little South.. raised our very best bourbon, and sang "Happy Birthday" in 2 part harmony. (I also told Luigi he sucked.)
  24. A toast or a curse.. which ever seems more appropriate.
