  1. ^^^^Yeah, when the old farts complain about their wrists and neck hurting as they age, I always say.. "Hit the gym. Build your core strength." It put me back on sport bikes when I was 60, and I still ride em.. er, *several* years later.
  2. I have had that problem with a leaking "candle" boot.. but you said you'd checked the wires. It's really hard to diagnose this problem from a continent away, though. Only starting with the throttle open a bit is normal. Not idling, of course, is not. Coughing and unevenly firing, combined with not idling "sounds" like a vacuum leak.. but maybe not. My guess is you will find your problem there.. but maybe not.
  3. Hmmm. I've had a hard time finding anything good to say about Lazertecs. I appreciate your riding abilities, and this is a first..
  4. LC251868436US In transit..
  5. There are two. (1) Slim (2) None. Pick one. Seriously, I had to work this last batch in on a weekend when I could get into the mill. There hasn't been a day since, and I don't expect one in the foreseeable future. Austin is covered up with.. cough cough.. work. I can't even get my G5 shifter repaired. And.. I'm making airplane wings right now to keep from worrying about what is going on in the world.. As usual, though.. if 10 show up, I'll make time. Eventually.
  6. There *is* that. I'm afraid that people aren't taking it seriously enough.. certainly not here in flyover country, although our governor has done pretty well. I guess *all* politicians don't suck.. even though I may not agree with his politics, he at least seems to have a brain and has been pretty cautious.
  7. Thanks, Docc.. Dorcia says thanks to you *and* the Guzzi family.
  8. Hi, Tom.. USPS tracking says it is "in transit." LC251868436US
  9. Has everyone's extender arrived? Nico in New Zealand said his finally did. If so, I'll throw away the tracking numbers..
  10. Thanks, Paul.. I'll give her a heads up.
  11. Paul, is "super B complex" the same as the vitamin B Dorcia is taking? She has a really bad problem with cramps at night.. waking her up and she has to get up, etc.
  12. None of this stuff is rocket science. Sometimes, a few pix tells all. That's why I'm still pissed at Photoblockit for my Lario and Aero Engine threads. (grumbling and shuffling off..)
  13. Buncha pussies.. (shuffling off..)
  14. Swanee Aerofoil. Just remembered when I was walking up from the shop.
  15. The best windshield by far (IMHO) for the Tontis is the original Califia (?) fairing. The name escapes me at the moment. When I had the Jack-All as a solo bike, I could put the big hand on 90 and smoke a cigarette if I smoked. Yes, as Pete sez, they are as ugly as a bag of farty assholes, but pretty is as pretty does.
  16. Strange. The AeroLario is my allarounder. Grocery getter. Load it and go to rallies, etc. I've never thought of it being "twitchy" at all. The problem I've had is finding a good 16"rear" for the AeroLario. There are several 16" fronts.. Anyone?
  17. "I'm a Dapper Dan man.."
  18. ^^^^ What Phil sez. John, you haven't gotten there yet, but add another 10 years or so.. At least you are *aware* and doing something about it. I quit on my previous airplane project because I'm not supple enough to get in it any more.. I can still ride the Mighty Scura though.. Edit: The other "Chuck in Indiana" has 10 years on me, does yoga 2 or three times a week, and is amazingly flexible.
  19. I did a tutorial here..
  20. Tim, I did the 35mm film trick on the Mighty Scura's forks, and it helped for a bit. Finally decided to change out the seal, and found a small burr that was the cause. Carefully stoned it off, and haven't had a problem since.
  21. Have you checked your pot (assium) level, John? Maybe eat some banannas? Just throwing a dart.
  22. test rode a new new one at the Oregon Nationals in '16.. the AeroLario would take it..
  23. The crossover looks unusual.. but so what? I'll bet you will like it.
  24. Calling Mr. Roper. Mr. Roper to the courtesy phone, please..
  25. Failing memory says that the seal starts leaking when the bearing fails. Pete will be along shortly to refresh my memory.
