  1. Not necessarily true. You are setting them on base circle of the cam. If the cam is wearing, the next time you check it, the valves will be tight.
  2. Alrighty now.. I'm beginning to count parts. Here's what I have: Kelly White Paul Beingessner Brian McReynolds (2) Kevin Trapp Tommy Allison Phillip Larsen (2) Ian Griswold (2) gene stallons Tom Christiansen Kosta Suli Dave Swanson Nick Looijen Brian Boles Tim Scudder Jamin Horner Randy Minton James Ferrell
  3. You are on the list. No money yet.. I'll email with exact charge including shipping.
  4. Have you sent me an email with your mailing address?
  5. Ok, you are doing it right. Unfortunately, if the clearance keeps closing up.. it sounds to me that the cam may be wearing. I don't know of any other cause for that to happen. Maybe someone else will come up with a reason I haven't thought of..
  6. Are you sure you are on the compression stroke of the engine at TDC?
  7. Hmmm, I was thinking flat black.. but I *do* have some of this..
  8. Yeah, the Mighty Scura's tank is scratched up from the inside the leg zippers of my old Motoport suit I have in SoCal. Now that I have the Scura in flyover country..I really don't need tank protectors any more..
  9. I just push fluid into the reservoir from the caliper with a big syringe. When I have *some* pedal or lever, zip tie the lever down overnight, and the brakes are magically bled.
  10. Austin finished up the nozzle order today, so I'm a go for the weekend. Shirley I will have them done early next week. Does anyone mind if I powder coat them instead of chromate? I'm low on chromate..
  11. One day I weighed the Monza, AeroLario, and Mighty Scura on some aircraft scales that we use for weight and balance calculations. Naturally, I *forgot* to write them down. I posted them on WG, and now can't find that thread. I *was* surprised at how little more the Lario weighed than the Monza, and how little more the Scura weighed than the Lario, though. *From failing memory,* the Mighty Scura was 495 lbs with an empty fuel tank, though. I thought it would be more.
  12. It ain't easy being green..
  13. Can do, Randy.. PM or email me your shipping address. I have the blanks, now. Just need Austin to go away, so I can run the mill. I think he's getting close to being done.
  14. Thanks for that. Gotta have one. Looks airplane ish.
  15. Ooh ooh, I love the clock. Where did that come from?
  16. Life is good, Tom. Enjoy..
  17. Yeah.. I've done that one, too. I love the rockies..
  18. That's been lost to the ages. Somewhere around 50 I think.. Dunno. I've seen a few at rallies over the country.
  19. Hmmm. I wonder what is the worst thing that could happen? Maybe wash down your cylinder walls with excess fuel? Just a thought.. If I was going to spend a little money.. I, personally, would get a remap by Beetle.
  20. Quite a few. I made head guards for them and sent them all over the world. I've "heard" that Guzzi lost money on each one sold.. but I don't know that for a fact. It was a tougher than normal period for Guzzi, and they were very kit bikeish. I've said before that the only reason they assembled them was to make sure you got all the parts. Kool, though.. I loved mine for long time.
  21. The Kid did his shop chair with some decals he had made for his Spot. I *think* it was done photographically.
  22. Uhh, maybe just buying their airline tickets would be cheaper?
  23. Ok, I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations are up. Wayne posted about this last winter, so I'm no longer sworn to secrecy. When the Daytona/Centauro etc. engines were certified, Guzzi, in their inimitable way screwed up and used the wrong chip. It was way too expensive to go through the certification process again, so they sent correct chips to Will on the west coast, Wayne Orwig on the east coast, and Karsten (from memory) in Germany. These were well known Guzzi Guys with electronic experience. They modified the chips and sent them all over the world. Naturally the epa, et al would have blown a gasket if known. (whistling) Will had a Daytona RS that he used to improve Guzzi's baseline chip, so I would expect he would know what you need. I would imagine Wayne could still burn you one, too. Probably it is still not general knowledge, though..
