  1. Wiggle them bars and then try again. If it works then tank off when you get home and address those bullet connectors that are held together with nothing more than hope and air. Hope it fires up for you. Cheers.
  2. Yeah I always get my spares and bling from them. Really helpful people and delivery is very quick. Shame you have to pay in Euros.
  3. Fairing on for long trip to the Alps next month. Can't decide whether I like it . . .
  4. Got quite excited reading the new Stein Dinse GesamtKatalog, but apparently my limited German has let me down . . .
  5. . . . In London means get your bike up to the Ace Cafe and ride like nutters to the coast. One of those special days today,
  6. Now that's what I call a full fairing.
  7. its a silver V11... I WIN and the thing in the forground looks like a hog motor in a mock up of a retro merkel I think you are right on the 'Merkel'. It was nicely put together but check out that hard tail, tiny tyre and saddle. Ouch.
  8. Sunny day today brought out all the bikes. Some more mainstream than others . . . (sounded glorious) . . .
  9. Well here is a picture of no Guzzis but a bunch of BMWs, oh and the Kawasaki girl obviously photo bombing. PS, those headlights ! ugh.
  10. Went to the London bike show yesterday. Not one Guzzi in the whole place, not even in the custom or vintage section. How depressing. A girl dressed in a tiny piece of lycra talked me into an afternoon test riding Harleys some time next month. She could have talked me into almost anything.
  11. I used to have a T140e. I know that times have moved on, but I remember taking the switch gear to pieces and being shocked at how crap (and full of water) it was. This was the first bike that I recognized as having moods. I used to talk to it before attempting to start it, pleading with it to be nice. It rarely was. Mind you I used to load it up with tons of luggage and, with girlfriend on the back, regularly ride 400 miles to Cornwall and back without thinking twice. Hammering it all the way. It finally got a little too unreliable so It spent a year in the shed whilst I flirted with a RD350YPVS. One day I pulled it out and it started third kick. Bloody thing.
  12. Aha Garelli it is then ! I had a Garelli trials moped. How could I forget ! Was it called a tiger ??? off to look it up. OK Saturday night and I have been out on the pop most of the day. It would of course be six matches for Garelli. So will think again in the morning.
  13. Aha Garelli it is then ! I had a Garelli trials moped. How could I forget ! Was it called a tiger ??? off to look it up. Yep I had a Garelli 'Tiger Cross'. Damn thing nearly killed me when the throttle jammed open. Bailed out just in time. Fixed it with a hammer. Not sure what model your picture is. Some research required.
  14. Aha Garelli it is then ! I had a Garelli trials moped. How could I forget ! Was it called a tiger ??? off to look it up.
  15. I want say Gilera or Devil, but I also want to say Blergh. Whatever it is it is 'orrible. More intrigued why you have blanked out pictures in the background. Possible hooters fodder ?
  16. Cool. Need to hear it ! Report back soon. Cheers.
  17. I have avoided this chain during my 'Dry January' as it upsets me. Now my liver has regenerated I am off to my nearest pub Saturday lunchtime for a belly-full of Adnams Southwold Bitter. A truly great beer and one that I would happily drink until the end of time.
  18. Top of my Christmas list . . .Mistral reverse cones Is this what you have Ramon ?
  19. This is my fit to the V11. Have fun here . . . http://cycle-ergo.com/
  20. Bike porn. I need that Norton, just perfick. The MG scrambler is very 'great escape', Quite like it. but brown grips . . .really ?
  21. I had exact same deposits of oil and it drove me mad for a number of weeks. I replaced upper and lower sump gaskets to no avail, and spent ages sniffing it to establish whether it was gearbox oil (I have given that up now ) . Turned out there was a split in the oil hose (the thick black rubber breather hose between the cylinders) as Mr Roper diagnosed. It was difficult to see the split until I pulled it. I couldn't work out how the oil migrated to some of the places it did but I guess the wind swirls around the engine in interesting ways. There was enough oil leaking for a few drips on the ground each time I parked up. Once fixed no more probs. Good luck !
  22. If you are in the UK or Ireland you can buy Bock Beers here (I have no commercial interest) . . . http://www.beersofeurope.co.uk/dutch-beer-netherlands Thinking of adding a few to my Christmas delivery. Some great glasses as well,
