  1. The first photo of Meg gets me right in the crotch! In those days I would undoubtedly leave her sleepless in Seattle!
  2. Desmosedici at Pro Italia...$65,000.00 and reserve only. If ya' gotta have this bike you need your head examined!
  3. What....you mean you don't carry an extra FI relay(updated)with you? It's old news you can't trust the Siemans relays. Get a Bosch or go to Radio Shack and get a couple for the other circuits that will soon fail. I read this post and am glad I got a Ghezzi-Brian....no bitchin' for 25K miles. Sorry to hear of your misfortune, minor as it may be. Don't sell...one day they'll all be H20 cooled and you'll yearn for the twin.
  4. Hey Triple.....this weekend(May 5 & 6th) in Smithville at the River Park is the Antique Motorcycle Club rally, show and ride. Next weekend on the 13th and 14th in New Ulm is the Houston British Motorcycle Owners rally which is BIG fun and large turnout. All this here in Texas! Go to either, I'll be there on the Supertwin.
  5. Ditto what Staedtler said 'cept I was 80 miles south of Luckenbach on the 3's(335,336 & 337)for a fuggin' perfect day(350 miles)with temps in the mid-60's crossing the "hills" into Leakey and back to Vanderpool...it doesn't get any better. Met a gent at the Lone Star Cycle Museum who had a "prepped" Yammy R-1 from Blackys' in London, it was prepped for the Isle of Man but wound up being sold to this gent...sorry no photo. Here's a few photos gettin' high! Cycleriders
  6. >Mike...would you fill out the G&B Supertwin registry I've started at G&B Yahoo groups database. No real personal info. Supertwin1
  7. Staedtler...just two words-freerange cattle.
  8. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...here's a 1000 words..don't race 'em!

    G&B Bolide X

G&B is done for ,'cept for parts. You can bet that design wasn't penned by Ghezzi or Brian, it's too angular w/hard edges.....unlike the flowing lines represented by the previous models.

Bill...I know the area well having grown up in Brookwood Hills and plying my trade on Moreland Ave. in L5P. Wife worked at Sevananda back when they were on the east side of Moreland. I do appreciate the invitation, tho' only get to Atlanta occasionally for the races at Road Atlanta and do get by the Vortex when time permits. I recall a time when Buckhead wasn't so trendy, Fellinis' pizza was the best, REM was a "local" band, the Varsity was standing room only(for hot dogs?),Hedgens and 688 club were in full swing & Six Flags was a long way out, 'course Douglasville is it's own city now! Atlantas' dynamic growth didn't look to be a good thing and Big Canoe got to be a little too close to "A"-town so I left and haven't been back for quite some time. I would like to know what happened to the old prison off I-20 @ Moreland Ave. Ahhhh memories. Ditto on the invitation....if you feel liberal enough to visit Austin, look me up. Plenty of good ridin' here in the "hill country".

Bill....you may think and seem liberal by Atlanta standards, but unless you live in Little Five Points I surely doubt it. Your inability to find humor in MacGuzzis' post shows me you're as uptight as the Muslims who pillage due to the the Mohammed parody comic. It's good and good for you to joke about the current politics and religious dynasties that plague our societies, otherwise it's just another day at the office. Come on Bill....I know you've got a Dub'ya joke to tell, share it with us! Show us that liberal streak! And hey...no hard feeling on this end, after all....it's only a forum.

Bill...there's no rule stating NO politics in this websites' guidelines, however there is in the aforementioned Mildguzzis' forum policy. If you're offended then maybe you shouldn't read or post or mebbe' go and post on a different site where everyone has got that warm and fuzzy feeling you seem to call "guzzidom". I wasn't trying to gain merit through my post, just justifying the personal freedom of people around the globe to voice their opinions on how we, yes, you & I as US citizens, have politically f**cked up this planet by allowing this shitbag to rule. And they can't have a laugh and poke fun at the fact he can't do more than 1 thing at a time? Come on...lighten up Bill

It is, however interesting to hear how the remainder of the planet views this "dufus" of a shitpile, as we here in the US dozingly sleep off this bad dream!
  14. Greg...you're not alone in your dislike of Charles Rice, even on this board! Seems his "ways" have gotten him into more trouble than good. Not to beat a dead horse but I'd love to hear your account of the story on the cycleriders site.
  15. Jim...I don't have all the answers but Harley did homologate 50 V-1000 while they sponsored the superbike races in the late 90's. I don't believe the MGS01 will be slated for any class race at Daytona but we will see.
  16. Jim..can you say w/some certainty that 50 are accounted for? I was told it was more like 32. Let me know-
  17. MGS01 based on a bike that was built 10 years ago...I don't think that's gonna' fly.
  18. Dr. Charles Rice and the Swallower race team have converted cardan shaft drive to chain drive on their racing Guzzi. Makes for better use of gear ratios at different tracks, actually makes the bike more competetive and lord knows we need all the help we can muster!
  19. Jedione...you'd better check the bevel box housing. The Pro Thunder(your bike) was breaking the housing, pulling bolts etc. during hard use at Daytona.
  20. Let not get too excited...this must've come from the rumor mill. Moto Guzzi hasn't homologated 50 MGS01's so I don't see how it could race in AMA events. I'm not saying a MGS01 won't be AT Daytona as there was one for viewing last year. Until I see it with my own eyes I'm calling it a rumor!
  21. I had been watching for these to go on sale for 2-3 years now and finally a shop in 'frisco has marked 'em down to $132 USD. I've been "gnawing at the bit" so I found them at a local boot store(this is Texas)on closeout for $99.00 After massaging them w/Lexol they fit like a pair of Spanish gloves. Good tough American boots with european styling...I like 'em. Here's the link-Chippewa
