    ALARMMMMM

So Zeb-very disheartening to hear of your loss, we all feel your pain! Thankfully your Supertwin wasn't nicked. Why didn't they take both, were they not together? If it were me I'd try to find the culprit myself and skin him alive, post haste!
  3. The Supertwins, if you can find someone interested in importing them into the states were last priced at @ $23,000. I have a black 2002 Supertwin for sale w/300 miles that is street legal for $16,000. Interested? Give me a call on Monday- (512)392-0696 M-F 9-5 Photos
  4. Yes-the scenic state of California is awesome to us cycle riders, but I moved away from deep in the heart of redwoods, Monte Rio 15 years ago due to impending legislation on what you can and cannot ride on the streets in that great "police" state. I chose Texas as my "base" of operation in order to own whatever I desire to ride, wherever I choose, California included. Things will only get worse there as the smog "nazi" will continue to enforce their laws on those people. Scenes from ROAD WARRIOR come to mind.
  5. Inasmuch as I'd like to think I could live without 'em, this proves it would be impossible. Listen closely, you can hear the "siren" song as your boat crashes into the rocks! SHAKE YOUR MONEYMAKER.
  6. Hi Al-no the only dealers in California were Britalia and they informed you "to be used only for racing". Only a couple were sold. Moto Guzzi wouldn't warranty any "bastard son" and most Guzzi shops wouldn't carry 'em. Then Cyclone Cycles in Denton(importer)brought 30 of the 50 made into Texas where they were DOT'd and sold with a Texas title. Now unless I'm wrong this bike is the same bike on page 34 in the Wildgoose Chase visitor pics and when I last spoke w/him he was unable to register it for the "street", hence the 300 miles! Man I enjoy riding mine so much and I've got 22,000 miles on it. How can you not ride a bike but 300 miles in 3 years? You either hate it or it doesn't fit!
  7. Ya' wanna know why it's too good to be true? Because it probably is....this Supertwin is in California and was sold by Britalia motors which means it has a "pink" tag which is not I repeat, NOT street legal for California. This is not mentioned in the ad but I bet a phone call would clear that up! It's called "race only". The only street legal Supertwins were sold by the importer, here in Texas due to Texas DOT laws(we can get around anything)
  8. If any rider should get accolades for their relationship w/Harley Davidson it should be Jay Springsteen on the XR-750 in roadrace trim in AHRMA this year.
  9. I got the opportunity to meet and chat with Kenny Roberts in the "hot" pits in Daytona this year. He's quite the celebrity & has always been a champion in my book, racking up numerous wins back when you had to be good at all forms of cycle racing.
  10. The Pro Thunder resides w/the US importer in Texas. It is still in good working condition.
  11. Hey Robb-Ottis Lance is one helluva rider as he rode for us in Daytona back in '02 aboard the Pro Thunder supertwin. He used to have a cycle shop w/none other than Doug Polen in Dallas years back, and yeah, he knows his shit! If you see him around MMI tell him Larry & Michael from New World Workshop in San Marcos, Tx say "go f__k yourself" , no just kidding....tell him to give us a call. Photo enclosed-
  12. Vintage races are underway at the speedway again today weather permitting(winds gusting to 30mph)the weather holds out. A neighbor mentioned 3.2 inches of rain fell last night but dried out quickly due to wind....hooray! A coupla' Guzzi are competing and they sound/look great in the fray....gotta have big balls to ride in that mix!!!! Jay Springsteen roasted the field on his Harley XR-750, leaving Gary Nixon in his wake as well as the rest of the field. Good friend ,Ted Cobb from Atlanta, won both of the Thruxton challenge series aboard his '05 Triumph 900. He'll be back out there today kickin' ass! Well I gotta' run-someones handing me a glass of potion I cannot/will not resist. Oh yeah-nice turnout at the Pantheon last night. Bring your marshmallows-guzzi down and burnin'.
  13. Hey Robbie-I'll be in the shop 'til 5:00 PM today(Friday) but not tomorrow. Come on by-
  14. I'm with 'ya dlaing...now we need to organize!
  15. The handbuilt Borile CR-500 is an alloy chassis w/the infamous GP flat track engine. Light & "torquey" only 50 are destined to be manufactured on the outskirts of Venice, Italy. Photo gallery
  16. No Al, no Guzzi dealers in Austin....one in San Antonio and MPH in Houston. You'll be lucky if you see a goose in Austin, just not popular here.
  17. Good eye Guzzirider-ya' got the pilot and the track right!
  18. Next time you try to explain how cycling makes you feel to a "non" cyclist, show him/her this photo-it says it ALL!
  19. Hey Todd-No track bikes, we "blacked out " the headlights for effect. These are street legal road ready machines!

    Dog Love

Yeah those squarehead Staffs can really get into 'yer heart-I always say "so long" as opposed to goodbye for the reason you cite here...one day we'll all sit around the same campfire! You should make a montage and display it proudly on your wall. Love your pets-you owe it to 'em.

Man that is sad....My female Staffordshire died in my arms back on a November morning last year....she had fought a cancerous tumor the size of a grapefruit under her ribcage making it extremely difficult to do anything but lay. She never complained-ya gotta love 'em for that! My deepest regards- Larry

    MSG\01...When?

Helicopter Jim-please post photo of daughter!!!
  25. Brian G-I believe cost may be the factor to which most manufacturers determine whether a "closed loop" EFI system be utilized. At this point only a few can boast and they are BMW and the new MZ-1000, both German marques. When all engines are "liquid cooled" you will see more "closeed loop" monitoring appear on bikes(2006).
