  1. I recently saw a youtube video that showed a Moto Guzzi with Mistral exhaust and they said "with baffles removed".  I looked at mine and didn't see any screws anywhere where one could remove it and then take out the baffle.  Does anyone here know if they can be removed?  Thanks, Bob..

p.s. I tried uploading a photo, but it said it was too big, but it was only 126kb and the limit is 200kb.  Can anyone straighten me

out on what I'm doing wrong?

Zoup, I've done a bafflectomy on Triumph Thruxton mufflers. Stock cans look like these. There are no bolts and no separation point. I cut them out and modified the internals. - Not easy, but they sound great. I also did the same with stock Sportster mufflers. The process (on the sporty) is often referred to as "Gronk Sportster muffler" and can be googled. Cut and remove innards - modify - replace. A good stainless steel tig welder can make it look beautiful. Some work, but again, sounds great. And cheap.

Re photos... I have had pretty good luck copy-paste photos into the reply box. The one below, if it shows up haha, I copied from a random site and came back here and pasted. seems to work..

  2. congrats Antiquar! happy to hear it. the way those little dash bulbs are pushed in there, it may just need a clean up/anti corrosive. removing the center light panel can become problematic. the crap plastic light base may disintegrate. you'll know if the cover bolts spin in place.

  3. 2 years ago I paid 6K for a 2001 Sport with 4700 miles.

I paid too much, but common sense left my body when the seller fired it up. I was a goner.

The story was that it had been bought new and stored indoors for many years. I believed the story as the bike was impeccable, even the plastic switchgear was perfect. It was essential a brand new 12 year old bike.

I dumped another 2K into it: tires, exhaust, fairing, etc etc. I also spend an inordinate amount of time getting it running properly.

So I am into it for 8K+. Who cares? I love it, and you can't take it with you.

been there... done that.... same conclusion

  4. if this bike is calling out to you, you are most likely the type of rider it was built for. as others have said, there will be some fits and niggles, but mostly minor and the reward is great. price wise, that's about tops but still fair imo, depending on condition. look at other components on the bike so you get a sense the mileage is correct. one of the "fits and niggles" is a speedo and cable/drive with less than stellar reliability.  Welcome, and keep us posted. Pics if you got 'em!

  5. KB - thanks, I'll put that fantasy to rest. I'm not concerned with weight, just reliability.

    From Agostini -

    Ciao John
Thanks for contact us , the price for one of this clutch kit shipped to USA is 560.00 euro but in this moment is not available, the new production
    is scheduled  for March !

    Best Regards
    Luca - Team Agostini

that be $606. US  I asked but they didn't say who the mfg was. Hopefully it's RAM and MG Cycles will get a batch too. I like having someone closer and more communicative to deal with.

  6. thanks Baldini. I was hopeful that was the same kit as MG Cycles sells (except they can't get them). It seems it's not quite the same, as MG's is assembled, aligned, and ready to install... but unobtainable, of course.

I read that thread some time ago, and couldn't find it again, so thanks. I will look it up.

Kit's aside, and the flywheel being the problem, why can we not replace just that with a steel one? I guess I don't understand how a 1 plater FW differs from a 2 plater. Except the alloy and the part number.

  7. I replaced Scura clutch assembly (same as Tenni) with a RAM single-plate obtained new from Agostinis.

Is it a complete kit for swap out? How long did it take to get it? What was the cost? I have inquired with them and await a response. Just curious of your experience.

  8. that's a nice bunch of extras. good job you got the faux suede, Tenni only, seat. The other seat should be the standard LeMans.

just re-reading the registry, it looks like the potential number of Tennis in the US now is around 35. I wish those USA blank spaces would fill in.

  9. let's see... I like the dark grey seat cowl and front fender. The side covers look black with something gold where the Tenni badge goes. I love the red paint in the MotoGuzzi in the valve cover. I will be stealing that. Smoke signal covers.. Buell? Custom foot pegs, brake lever. Wow. Cans look good too. Be they Mistrals? Tell us more!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Tenni.

  10. Evening all, I proud own Tenni T169.

I bought her back in 20111 but she has been off the road of most of the last few years with two ruined clutches and accident repair after a clueless taxi driver drove in to me between the first and second clutch failing.  Hoping to have her back on the road by the end of January however...

Congrats Jools. And Welcome. Do elaborate a bit on the clutch problems. and what clutch is in her now. Aluminum flywheel owners want to know these things!
