swooshdave Posted August 11 Posted August 11 I'll remind you again that the V11 is now more than 25 years old, the threshold for vintage status with some clubs. Now do you feel old? Good. Alas only one V11 showed up but it's a stunner. Hopefully you'll enjoy some of the other bikes too. It was the Norton's turn to go for me. Next year I'll probably take the V11 because... it'll still be vintage too. 4 3
docc Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Yesterday, I mounted an "Antique" license plate to mySport. I'm kinda proud of it. And dismayed at the same time. 1
LowRyter Posted August 11 Posted August 11 The Vincent needed a start cart. A local rider has a NorVin with Rollie Free cams. It's almost impossible to foot start. Being in his 80s, he doesn't try anymore as he was explaining after attending the Texas Norton meet several years ago.
PJPR01 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Those old bikes "sound" like they would be vibrating significantly...I wonder how smooth they are to ride, or do they put your hands to sleep after a few miles of riding?

It was a great show. Agreed. The drone shots are a great touch and labeling the bikes for the less informed makes it all the more interesting. I hope to make it next year, which is what I said last year. 2

I think it might have been a collaborative effort between Dave and Mike from the Mighty Garage. Mike was away that week so the editing might have happened after the fact. They both have some excellent work to see on YT. Searching Swooshdave or The Mighty Garage will get you there. 1 1
