  1. Yes the Gearbox will bolt up to the engine but the clutch will be different for the 5 speed. The ECU is different as previously mentioned. Phil

  2. He lives somewhere in the Sutherland shire I reccon Mick, maybe Como. I "think" I recognised Sutherland shopping strip and the Princes Hwy near Engadine both not far from where I used to live in Sydney. Phil

  3. The exhaust gaskets compress so much that they appear like a machined ridge. I once thought there were no gaskets on a bike of mine, then was able to remove them. As for rubber bits, like the boot for the rear master cylinder, you might have to find out what other bikes used the same master in order to find a part. There are many documented examples in a thread called "Encyclopedia of Compatible Parts" and if you find something not previously documented, please share for the community.

  4. What exactly are you looking for? Most parts there are either manufacturable, like the bush for the lever, or substitutable for parts from other models. Stuff like the selector pawl is universal to all five speeds.

  5. Hello to All who are so genrously sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience. Saturday i got the front end back on and got the carcass blocked up to remove the swing arm. This morning (Sunday) when i put eyes on the LeMans, to my dismay, there was a tiny puddle of oil under the RH fork. So, pulled the fork and massive chunk of the seal's lip was torn, careful as i was, it happened. So, i should have seals, fuel filter by week's end. Once i have the front end back on, then i will block up again and move into the swing arm removal. Thanks for mentioning those pins for setting up wheel alignment. One thing i don't have is a laser, is that something i can buy anywhere and then attach it to a magnetic base i use for holding a dial indicator? Another picture, this one portrays how this bike has been treated by whoever worked on it before my ownership. It's obvious somebody had their hamfists throughout the bike, a NAPA ff wrapped in tin foil. No gaskets between exh.pipes and heads. Are rubber parts generally available or are they nla? There are a couple boots elsewhere on the bike that are cracked, torn, degraded. To be sure, i will be cleaninging all the electrical connectors, with a little emery paper on eyelets and DeoxIT D5S-6 for the connectors.

  6. JW . Which part(s) are you needing ? BTW , don't go in the front door for things like you are asking . Go in the back door and be nice and see if someone can help you .

  7. I think you're dreaming and they are exaggerating. Some stuff maybe "anything" no. And what they can get re made will need to be in quantities. It's why places like HMB manufacture aftermarket replacement parts. Phil

  8. I really enjoyed that guy's narrative... South Africa, Military. He must have played Rugby at some point, and he can say Moto Guzzi properly!!!

  9. Six speed won't fit in a Centauro frame without a lot of modification as Pauldaytona will tell you and outlined on his website. Yes the engine is offset in the V11 Chassis so the front engine mount frame is different. Phil

  10. Nice film. For those interested, I reckon the footage was taken somewhere around Sydney. The number plates are New South Wales, and the bush is definitely coastal, and not too far south.

  11. Should be possible, but you need a V11 front subframe. The Centauro engine is positioned slightly off centre. And I'm not sure if the V11 6 speed box will fit in a Centauro frame.

  12. I'm not ready to go there yet. My thought is the rotor pilot veering right and climbing up into the passenger jet path . IDK if he knew the passenger jet had been diverted from Runway 1 to runway 33 ? I know ATC instructed him to go behind the passenger jet . It will all have to be pieced together . A LOT of small movements making one big problem .

  13. I have found Stein Dinse to be very well stocked, but don't believe the can get "anything". For instance, I tried to order a breather hose for a small-block a couple of months ago. They informed me that the part is produced on demand. I never got it (and wasn't charged for it). It was ordered with a bunch of other stuff, which all arrived as promised, but the hose never did. I didn't follow it up, because I got one from somewhere else. Whatever, I would suggest contacting them directly for anything that they list as "not in stock" and try and find out what the real story is with delivery. I'm generally happy with them, but have had a couple of instances where it seemed that things can get lost in the paperwork. Big company with not quite enough people doing the work, I think.

  14. Not video, but here is the approach to the front U-joint Zerk from the front using an adjustable angle tip turned 90ยบ (or less): Your only other alternative:
