More than one person told me I was insane to make 50 and that they'd never sell.

Four years but zero marketing? Just the crazies here on the forum. Not bad I think. But then again I didn't have to look at a stack of them for all that time.

I should clarify that I'm not feelin' fotoguzzi's love for the bike.

I so agree with this. Others have pointed out that, as the world's premier V11 Sport/LeMans community, we consistently undervalue examples that come up.  I really enjoy looking over listings for what is changed, what accessories are offered, common issues, and try to share what knowledge we have accumulated about these rather rare (and soon-to-be-vintage) motorcycles.

That happens in every single community... except the Ferrari folks. Unless they are talking about the Daytona they bought in 1981 for $5000.

We want the prices to be low so we can buy more. But we want the prices to be high when we sell. Fickle are we.

I don't know if it's been posted here before but John Fish over on WG is selling a nice black 2000 V11 Sport for $3000 and I can't believe it hasn't gotten any taker since he first posted it in January.

Edit: I found it in the classified

Neither one of those links works for me.

  4. Looks like he’s second in line. Just have to hope it falls through.

I’ve also got a line on a Scura and Coppa Italia if this doesn’t work. Personally I’d want the Scura.

But I don’t want another bike because a) a Greenie is actually the ultimate V11 Sport and b) I don’t have room for another bike.

50 is the correct number....That is a steal on that bike with that milage imo.

If he wants it he better make a deal NOW, like fast as I see it being talked about and the ad reposted on 3 other forums..including AF1

    It won't last long.

He hasn’t gotten a response yet. Hopefully being local will be an advantage.

Everything on it looks correct other than the valve cover color, some guys did not like the original red  and changed them....that is a great exhaust system and ecu from that period as well the front header crossover is original.  I had a beautiful one which I bought from one of the founding members of this forum and which now belongs to another member of this forum...awesome motorcycles that WILL hold their value.

That is not the titanium exhaust, correct? Or is it?

  7. There’s a RC for sale locally. Says it’s one of 50. I have a feeling that’s more Italian counting, like the horsepower rating. Doesn’t have red valve covers. My friend is interested in it.

Should it have Lemans side panels?

“A really beautiful Moto Guzzi Rosso in superb condition with no operational issues! Only 8,600 miles, recent battery and tires. Only defect is sligh bubbling of the right side decal, an unfortunate byproduct of ethanol gas and very sloppy fill ups! Generally not noticeable and no one has ever mentioned it to me at rallies and events.

Only 50 were imported to the USA, and this one is owned by the former president of Moto Guzzi North America!

Why spend $20K on a bike everyone will forget in two years and will halve it's value when you could own an are very rare and classic Guzzi!”

It's a super-competent off-roader. I got to participate in a Ford event, called Off-Roadeo before I took delivery. I went to the one near Las Vegas. The trail masters put us in all kinds of difficult spots intentionally so we could experience the vehicle's features and capabilities.

Bummer about the Ford experience in Australia. I've been overall happy with my Ford trucks, but have no experience with a new Ford car. I'm fortunate that there is a very good dealer near me. I also bought the extended warranty, as it is a new model and they had a lot of production delays.

I'm a December 2020 reservation for a loaded Badlands. No sign of it yet.

These rigs are immensely capable even for the novice driver. The Off-Roadeo was an absolute blast!

  9. My friends Mike and George went down to Quail a week ago to show off George's Ducati. Mike made a little video about it as he's apt to do. There were a ton of Guzzis down there so I thought I'd share it with y'all. There will be a part 2 to the video that will probably come out next Sunday.

Dave, The '65 is prettier than the '67.   OTOH, I have don't know what year 'vette you got rid of.

It was a 95 convertible with 6 speed. It had 130k miles so it was a bit worn out. I would have loved to have kept it but can't keep everything.

I like the 67 body better than the 65. Maybe one day I will have another 67 convertible.
