  1. @Bill Hagan Bill what dates do they do their mutton cookoff? Don't they have it twice in the year? If I don't have any conflicting dates I'll try to fit this in.
  2. I haven't seen any posts for this gentleman. how about a little extra
  3. It's good to see your back in the saddle again Bill! To tell the truth averaging over 50 miles per hour on back roads is impressive. When planning a trip using all backroads with all my stops I normally figure about 40 mph average. Gives me an idea of saddle time. I got to try some of that mutton one of these days
  4. Coming home from the Spine Raid XXI I like to think of the wife and Susan calling me home. It makes the last 500 miles of the trip easier.
  5. Now I know how Josh felt when he said Bill never got a picture of him smiling. Bill can be sneaky with his camera. I mean you want to catch people being natural and not poising all the time but that doesn't always tell the whole story. My knee ain't so good doesn't bother me riding but I can't stand on it long. Might not always look my best.
  6. I want to thank all of the Spine Raiders for their hospitality I really enjoyed myself. Good to meet the people behind the names. I need to delegate more time cause having one day of rain can dampen the fun (not entirely).
  7. I would imagine that this clip has been a number of times before in the past. For Spine Raid 21 how about some CCR seeing how they were the first act to be signed up for Woodstock and it will be my first Spine Raid.
  8. I have a copy of Dizzy Gillespie - A Night in Tunisia not what I'd call smooth jazz. After years I'm stilling trying to those pieces together.
  9. I went and rebuilt my throttle bodies they were leaking gas pretty good. Phil mentioned when he rebuilt his one of them was missing the rubber seal altogether. So, I thought I would dig into mine. The leak was just the injector needing some cleaning, but I was in there already, so I replaced the bushings. When ordering the bushings its clear they're made to run at some low rpm they have a running class fit. Don't think that they're going very tight at all. I guess it helps with the throttle return having the throttle impeded might for no more posts.
  10. I didn't know he is a Guzzi rider big plus for Billy Joel! I just needed a little distraction before getting back to it.
  11. The caveat emptor express has been doing its thing. Hard to trust a rescue bike sometimes.
  12. I just changed my manual petcock and after a week it seems the o-ring is starting to swell. Crap, guess I'll have to Phil's mod or I wouldn't be able to turn my gas off soon. Changing the petcock might not be as simple as it appears. Sean how was the bike stored was there still gas in the bowels? Might be residue on the floats they are precision instruments. You also need to check the metering needles for any pitting. You could get float and needle working just to have your mid-range trashed.
  13. Those clips are pretty irrelevant. Don't know if that's Roy Buchanan's really family but that would certainly be a different side of the man. Most times he can be a real gunslinger. If your not familiar with Roy watch something like Roy Buchanan live form Austin, TX. Eva Cassidy go watch her cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow or Song Bird.
  14. Doing a little digging, you have to Know some of their other work to really appreciate these.
  15. Thanks for the offer Doc after retirement I only have to answer to the wifey. She is pretty understanding, she knows motorcycling and such trips are in my DNA. She knows the difference between crunching a bunch of miles and sight seeing trips.
  16. Might be kind of late but next time you have the tank off pull the breather hose on the side of the frame. See if you have any mayo in there. If you do vacuum it out don't try to flush it.
  17. I cooked up a big pot of kicking chili chicken and was feeling a little south of the boarder. I think I had my Sinko-deMayo going on. It's just beginning to feel like spring up north that's why the Sergio. With out getting too political with the current person in the white house those artists are not probably allowed in this country anymore.
  18. If you go to COG (www.Centauro-Owners.com) Mike Delval he might still have a RH cylinder head.
  19. So Bill does this mean you wouldn't be doing your Mutton Run this year? Thought I might try the Spine Raid this year so hope to see you there. Meet a few of the other inmates.
  20. I guess I should do this while it's still March. (The Promise of Spring) Another blast from the past
  21. After thinking on it the cover of Midnight Rider is not selling the melody like the original did. I just happened to like it. A better example just driving the melody would be more like The Who Eminence Front.
  22. I hope you restore the Centauro as it was. Don't know how rough it is but it's a great looking bike. I own a V11 and a Centy and the Centauro just always gets more positive comments when I'm out riding it (that's the truth). Took a while for looks to hook me I really like it now.
  23. If your waiting for the bridge on that song I sure hoped you brown bagged your lunch cause you might get hungry. Reminded me of how long you have wait for the bridge on Midnight Rider.
  24. I haven't been following the weather as this is typical for Michigan. I would say for people down south who might not have as much insulation in their home. If your getting sub zero temps for more than a couple days you need to run your faucets every once and a while to keep your pipes from freezing.
