  1. Well, there is a certain 8-vave V that is fully developed and Piaggio can buy the whole company for a song. No need for a major name change: Motus Guzzi. This model is tentatively called the Norge Carolina.
  2. To the right of each pic (once you have clicked and enlarged it, is a list of three options (below). Click on the "Copy", use the BBCode for a test, and it will provide a web address highlighted in blue. Copy that address (Command + C on Macs) and then paste it into your post (Command + V on Macs) and it should attach.
  3. I heard that the Lambo tractor gurus were consultants. Just a rumor.
  4. I was lucky enough to stumble onto a 4500 mile '04 Ballabio with H&B bags/rack, Motobits pegs, Staintunes and a ROPER plate for $4,950. I tried to negotiate but soon came to my senses and said "Yes" , or was it "I Do"? I forget, but it is certainly a marriage of sorts. A commitment for sure.
  5. OK, osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes, suppressed adrenal function, chronic kidney disease, 4cm clot in R outer jugular, immune suppression (just got my final baby shots), cataracts (now gone), two lumbar spine surgeries, knee surgery, two sinus surgeries, chemotherapy induced+diabetes-induced+transplant-induced autonomic peripheral neuropathy (the triple crown!), and possibly the heartbreak of psoriasis. I forget the rest. Oh! The worst of all: Progressive curmudgeonitis. So, if I am times obtuse, I hope you can forgive. While I could not get doctor to prescribe it, I find the V11 to be therapeutic.
  6. I shall watch with amusement, if not shock and horror.
  7. You mean its powered now by water wheels from Lago di Como? OK, maybe a little cheeky there...
  8. Forgot about the apparently benign tumor in my frontal lobe that they are watching. And the hits just keep on coming!
  9. 3 cancers. Stem cell transplant. Staring at 70 with a wheelbarrow load of co-morbidities. Might live to 100, but better to live like I'm going tonight.
  10. As to what the "new bike" is or will be, I have no real opinion. I have bought the last bike of my life, which is quickly winding down. Reading between the publicity lines, if it is high-tech and high-performance, then it seems that it could be nothing other than Aprilia's 660 270º parallel twin in Guzzi guise. The cost to produce a Euro-5,6,7? standard bike is way beyond Guzzi's capability. It is almost certainly beyond tiny Moto Morini's ability. Thus, we may very well be presented with the same bike wearing three different suits of clothing. Anyone have a better, clearer idea? When you are cash-strapped, cost savings, platform-sharing is everything. Motori Generali, anyone?
  11. Well, it appears that you just go to their home page and click on the blue "sign-up for $11/yr" button. i did it, so i am certain that you will be able to.
  12. Well... you could subscribe to Imgzeit and relax. About $1US/month, it is by far the best and easiest image hosting service I have seen. A certain forum member developed it, I am told.
  13. 'Sposedly, the Aprilia 660 makes 100bhp and weighs what, 400 pounds? That's 600 super sport territory. Still, they were advertised well ahead of delivery.
  14. From the blurry teaser(?) by proportions it looks like Aprilia's/Moto Morini's 660 parallel twin. "IF" so, are we seeing the emergence of the Italian GM (General Motorcycles)? If.
  15. Quote: Even if it's not V11, it's still interesting! Moto Guzzi, auction for 30 legendary motorcycles: from the Normale to the LeMans Catawiki traces the century of history of the Mandello Eagle; 30 copies of the classics of the Italian brand famous all over the world are up for auction
  16. Nice! Clear coat? Perfect timing for the Coppa Italia makeover!
  17. Very nice! I will ruffle some feathers, but I never liked the LeMans V11 fairing. Now the 850 version (in red with orange sides) would llook so nice on a red V11. Hey, I have one in my garage! But, I would need LeMans bars to complete the look, but the Ballabio bars might just work. (mind racing...).
  18. Welcome, beckerman! Out of decency, in a 12-month riding-year state, do put a few miles on it. It's true that your have to head to Georgia to find any twisty roads (or ride Hghway 41 at the ton). Oh, and you can bin that rotary phone! They make Princess phones now. Little humor(?) there...
  19. I watch Dr. John Campbell on YouTube. He is pretty much Covid central there. https://www.youtube.com/user/Campbellteaching
  20. Last year I did not go to Fiji because of Covid. All the other years I didn't go because I was poor.
  21. We are a well aged population, and more subject to every disease. The media has gone insane over perpetrating hysteria over the virus. I saw that in the 1 1/2 minutes that I could stand to watch it. I am intentionally immune suppressed, as my transplanted immune system kills cancer but also wants to kill me. I am not the slightest bit worried about the virus - this from someone who may only partially respond to the vaccine, if at all. Worry = lack of peace. My world view teaches that worry indicates a lack of faith. So, I work on that. Regarding all of the social and political turmoil, there is not a toilet large enough to flush it all.
  22. In the firearms collector world, there are innumerable scams that have cribbed a pic off the web and posted an ad. If they respond, it is clear that their command of English is poor and that they simply want your money. The lack of a response speaks volumes.
