  1. Its a complete shame for Suzuki to pull the plug, both riders are legit contenders. I'm not positive but I thought Suzuki was the last inline 4 on the grid. They always seemed to take care of their tires better that showed up at the end of the race, typically with a podium. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/why-inline-four-motogp-bikes-handle-better-than-v4-motogp-bikes
  2. I've only owned the bike for a short time but I think the Rosso Mandello is gorgeous version of the V11. Ventura recommends facing the bag forward for weight distribution and aerodynamics. Clearly it looks like I need to order a smaller EVO bag, but I like the fact that the mounting system design lets you see the bike when used. I don't plan on using a tank bag for the same reason. I sport toured back in the day on a brand new silver 2001 V11 Sport with Techno bags and large tank bag, in a new season I guess.
  3. New Pirelli rear arrived to fit to my silver Sport the problem is how do I transport this tyre on the bike to the fitting shop, a journey of around 12 miles. I have no “steamer trunk” sized luggage system ! Don’t really want to bungee the tyre to the pillion seat either. Maybe devise some way of carrying it on my back ? Any ideas?
  4. More pics.... May have gotten the wrong size bag, looks like a steamer trunk from rear view. Has anyone ever taken off the body work and had the matte finish clear coated or freshened up? Clearly I can't remove the Rosso Mandello logo's and such, but spraying it would maybe erase the scratches and scars from 21 years and preserve it. Thoughts...................
  5. New Ventura EVO Bike-Pack System.
  6. I'm liking these more and more, parallel 889cc twin, 111HP, 365 dry weight.

  8. Gstallons, not sure about Little Sturgis, but thinking about the European Riders Rally in Burkesville KY this year. https://bmwmcon.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=433756&module_id=514025
  9. Kyle rides all type of off road bikes including a Husky Svartpilen 401, Husaberg and KTM's.
  10. My wife and I rode the Indian down to Tellico Plains TN and rode the Cherohala Skyway last weekend. Out of nowhere the temps rose over 85 degrees, but overall the weather was nice w no rain showers. We stayed at the Farmhouse Inn, can't say enough about Kyle and Laura's hospitality from a motorcycle riders perspective. Kyle is a Adventure rider, MotoGP & Nicky Hayden super fan. He also GPS logs trails around Tellico for adventure riding, with a Youtube Channel Tellico Adventure Trail. He and Laura ride two up all the time on his 950 Ducati Multistrada. Laura made home made breakfast and the whole INN was spotlessly clean, can't say enough, 6 stars out of 5. As for the ride, we rode over to Tapoco Lodge for lunch, where TVA was letting out extra water, so the atmosphere was wonderful watching kayakers hit the currents right in front of our tables, literally. Nicole and I met with Mark/Tina who we haven't seen since before COVID, they rode up from North GA, very nice lunch. We also seemed to leap frog a large group of Porsche's on the skyway who later ate at the Lodge for lunch.
  11. Farmhouse Inn B&B had 85 reviews on Trip Advisor, 81 were excellent, 5 stars. Motorcycle friendly a block away from Tellico Grains.
  12. Doc, so my wife and I are going to ride down to Tellico Plains and ride the Cherohala Skyway(on the Indian Chieftain). While the Lodge at a Tellico Plains is booked, but the owner guided me to the Farmhouse Inn B&B in town. Very classy move can’t say how thankful I am. But anyways, while talking about the South N Spine Raid, he told me that one room was still available, so I booked it! It’s official, going to make the rally this year on the Rosso Mandello.
  13. My dad has a 2018, nice bike with plenty of mid range grunt. Good seat w handle bars, nice street bike with very smooth UJM inline 4. This pic was w my old Katana, K-5 motor w 150hp, I miss that bike. BTW Doc you can buy luggage for the Z900 from Shad.
  14. So I brought home my old Italian made mini bike to the house last weekend.
  15. Docc, since you can barely see the rear caliper, I might leave it grey. Now if were on the front in full view I would buy Brembo only or paint.
  16. Scud, I was able to find a replacement caliper from Grimeca who bought the rights to produce from Brembo. Price for shipping & sales tax is $53.64 which is cheaper than the rebuild kit from UK. I will update how it goes with the install. Distance between the pads in this caliper is 6mm, so your disc needs to be a maximum of 5.5mm thick, unless you reduce the thickness of the pads before use. Brembo offers two different thicknesses of pads for their similar F05 caliper, so this practice of altering the pad material is commonly done. They come with Ferodo pads Ferodo pads part # FER4408” https://www.ebay.com/itm/363381691667#vi-desc-maincntr
  17. It is now blatant that if you don't start at the top of the grid on race day, it is almost impossible to win. I agree qualifying is critical this year. If Marquez would have qualified and started better he would have won as he was running with the fastest times all day(that's going through the field while doing those times which is super human). As for the Suzuki's they are down on power and top speed, but both the riders and bike are super consistent. That's why Rin's is second in the standings now. Can you win a title without winning a race? MotoGP RIDERS CONSTRUCTORS 2022 Standings Rank Rider Points Wins Podiums 1 E. Bastianini Ducati 61 2 2 2 Á. Rins Suzuki 56 0 2 3 A.
