    1100i sport

now you've done it Barrett hey, also, the rear sets are not original -- "more relaxed" --this maybe too much of a mishmash.....

    1100i sport

so you're saying that the 5 speed gearbox is relatively alright- ? I'll have to wait til monday to find out if the owner has the original fairing and all....good point. This is another dumb question ---- the yellow sport-- round headlight-- the 1100i's had square lights don't they? This one from the bike I'm looking at has the Centauro headlight....

    1100i sport

Need a little advice and help here. I'm considering this '97 1100i sport. It has 17k miles. It had a little problem and the owner put on a centauro bikini fairing and centauro instrument gage cluster. Runs terrific and looks like brand new (new custom paint helps). All electrics work fine - functionally. But the Centauro instrument panel lights -- idiot lights, oil light, blinker lights on the panel - are not wired. The wiring harness is there but not connected. Is this a problem? Should that be simple or do-able for the shop to wire in? (why wasn't it done before ) Any feedback on the bike appreciated -- It has K&N pods, Borla crossover, carbon cans and related goodies...
  6. "Don't call me Mr. Roper. My name's Pete, the only people who call me Mr. Roper are Coppers and my daugther's bastard boyfriends!" You're a good man I need to test ride one too
  7. Hey, one thing is for certain -- stuff happens. From experience (am I not the guzzi crash test dummie?) do not beat yourself up. Hindsight is always full of "I should have done...." or "if only I...." on and on... Thank God for the skill getting you through thus far, I'd say. Get into OT soon if you're not already-- sounds like you are. Work hard on those ankles! Enjoy the family :!:
  8. John, That bike of Christian's was immaculate -- what mods -- what effort and love. I feel for your loss too- lossing a friend - a brother- it is deep. Pass the word to his family that we will miss him here on the v11 forum. I did not know him but I get a sense of his heart.... God Speed
  9. I talk to computers and I'm happy! I put a cramp aversion thing on my Ducati throttle -- -- and tried it out tonight -- -- my arm kills me but I'm not going to miss this ride... now Mark, you are planning on leaving Starbucks at around 10 a.m. -- -- right? Tom -- -- anybody know if Steve Hubbard is coming? From the EV fame?
  10. I would just add -- again -- like Mark -- 58 is stunning Mark - I've got a possible buyer coming in from Phoenix on Sunday for the Duc - but he might not show, etc., and I'm trying to get a centauro in the meantime... barring that I think I can get a "loaner" from a friend! This is a good ride people.
  11. ah, the old ulnar nerve! I totally banged my right elbow over two months ago. The nerve swelled and doing any kind of work with that right arm just killed me. Of course, I didn't leave well enough, and due to all the physical therapy I've had a my life I thought I just work through it. Wrongo-bongo. Me working through it just kept on aggravating it. Worst of all I absolutely cannot ride my new Ducati super sport without tears come into my eyes within five minutes. Right now I have that bike up for sale and a guy is coming from Phoenix on Saturday to look at it. I don't want to keep that bike sitting in my garage for the next six months while my arm heals. I need to buy a centauro! Easier on my arm. How's your recovery Mike? (This is pretty cool however as I'm using NaturallySpeaking for most all of my computer work! Like right now)- I know, guztim thinks I need a virtual motorcycle too!
  12. Mark-- I"m planning on being there like last year- I wrecked my arm - ulnar nerve thing- hoping it'll be ok by then!!!
  13. I'd recommend throttlemeister bar ends for killing the vibe and cruise control. Nice. Worked for me...
  14. and since nobody mentioned this, I shall get speed bleeders (on clutch and all brakes)- it'll make the whole process simple..

    LAMINAR LIP

I couldn't see the Lip on a LeMans- rides just fine at any speed. On the Scura, it looks good to me and if you're cruising long hwy distances, would more than likely be a good thing... IMHO
  16. man, davidb, what's up ? good to hear you
  17. speaking of winding roads next 77 miles - that pic of the month is awesome! Washington touring anyone? simply tell her "this is a chick flick" and "it also has some motorcyles".... ditto on "instant classic"
  18. that's a great WEB site not scooter scura! Truth is... I've only read about the movie and seen clips myself. Plan on going tomorrow in Jackson! But I already know it'll be an esoteric hit.
  19. ok, now that we've discovered that war is a fact of life.. what do you think about The Fastest Indian......... best movie ever?

    My Paul Smart 1000le

Mike- know exactly what you mean on the ducati forum... not even slightly close... dry to the bone. I now have to talk to "live" mechanics....to get good info.... on that forum, I know as much as most of them do, or, what's worse, more -- very scary. Plus, it seems to lack a certain something...
  21. Amanda -- one heck of a good Waylin Jennings number-- for the longest time I thought the words were "a man does, you light up my life". Only later did I realize the words actually stated, "Amanda, you light up my life" ... simple enough. Now, If BFG can recognize the error of his ways and recognize the true forum, everything will be alright....
  22. good to hear Mike... crashes are like life in super slow-mo..... Nothing like a little PT to let you know you're alive... Keep mending man.
