this is going to sound like Tex (don't know why that sounds funny)- but my dog once killed my neighbors cat-- I brought it back to him holding it by its tail, rang the door bell, presented him with his cat, and watched as his eyes poped out of his head . oh my. omen -- I'm not into that.... happy new year BTW - great forum.
snoby- I'll show you snoby. Just look! You know, I'm on a ducati forum -- totally boring and DRY. This one is the model the others should follow if they were smart (now get mg to put out a bike). It's entertaining and the responses are real -- Tx too! I love it Way to go Calison.
Merry Christmas Mike! You're way more patient than me. I wanted the Paul Smart but needed a ride NOW -- ended up with the 1000ds ss. Guzzi needs to make a line similar - all agree there. BTW - that headlight looks great in the rear view mirror!
soooo..... looks like everybody got their pic took with the grisso, eh But the 1100 did have a better ergo... The 750 ain't shabby either...
Gil -- we want pics of the ride home!
Freak acident! wow. My prayers are with you man. Nerve damage has a way of coming back with the nerves re-wiring themsleves (you mtl know more about this that I, -- I think ). Heal and be riding again.
ha. The first bike I crashed hard was a Seca II! I restored it and sold it for more than I paid! (of course after I healed).
Welcome to the forum. That Ballabio is one fine riding bike -- especially in the tight twisties-- I know-- I've followed Dave Potts on his for hundreds of miles You will love that bike.
Funny- I had a VTR1000F.
um, yes to all on getting a hold of racerx - he just wanted to buy my ducati ss 1000 ds
and who knows-- if I crash this one, maybe he will :!:
yes joe - I DID see your v11 there! Beautiful too. A guy from Stockton was looking at it closely (he was riding a kawa)
I went through 3 sets of oem's before I went with 014 -- best tire for the le mans - try it, you'll love it..... (compare prices too and you'll buy these!)
DeMolay --- he was the last Grand Master of the Templars - warrior monks of the crusades (red cross on white tunic). Back in France, he was burned at the stake by the Church and State and had all their money and lands (of the Templars) confiscated. Later turned into the Masons....
all guzzi's are 50 state bikes. but, that said, you have to have the CA emission sticker or registration is difficult. If the sticker is not there on the bike (like mine was missing) you'll more than likely have to talk with mgna in georgia- give them the vin # and they will supply you/dmv with an offical letter verifying CA emissions.....
sorry to hear about the domestic thing -- been there too. on the value, if you want low, state low. put anything down. if you want realistic, look at cycletrader.com, as an example, and look around. find similar bikes and go accordingly. good luck.
IMHO go to Harpers and look at the head guards. You can paint 'em or have them chrome. They don't stick out beyond the OEM. They don't look ugly (see above ). They work. I low sided my le mans, scraping over asphalt and then tumbling down 100' of cliff. Cylinders look good. Head guard on left side toast. It works.
