  1. "the Tenni is hands down the winner"....HA!! Take that you Scurista!! Cheers, Van
  2. WELL SAID !!!! True my friend, just can't beat that certain panache Guzzi's have. Love the part about start up grin and effect on Harley guys, (especially after you've blown by them, soft targets that they are). All said though, Italian bikes all have that certain something, style, look, feel, soul. I've ridden my brothers MV 910 Brutale, so different, but OMG, and it just screams Italian Cheers Van
  3. Need a good laugh--these 2 jokes should do the trick Happy New Year! Van 1. A professor at the University of Sydney was giving a lecture on "Involuntary Muscular Contractions" to his first year medical students. Realising this was not the most riveting subject, the professor decided to lighten the mood slightly. He pointed to a young woman in the front row and said, "Do you know what your arsehole is doing while you're having an orgasm?" She replied, "Probably fishing with his mates." 2. A little boy goes shopping with his mother and is standing outside of the ladies dressing room waiting for his mum to come out. While waiting the little boy gets bored and just when his mum comes walking out, she sees her son sliding his hand up a mannequin's skirt. "Get your hand out of there!"She shouts. "Don't you know that women have teeth down there?" The little boy quickly snatches his hand away and thanks his lucky stars he didn't get bitten. For the next ten years, this little boy grows up believing all women have teeth between their legs. When he's 16, he gets a girlfriend. One night, while her parents are out of town, she invites him over for a little action. After an hour of making out, she says, "You know, you could go a little further if you want. “What do you mean?" he asks."Well, why don't you put your hand down there?" she says, pointing to her crotch. "Hell no," he cries, "You've got teeth down there!" "Don't be ridiculous," she responds, "there's no such thing as teeth down there!""Yes, there are," he says, "my mum told me so." "No, there aren't," she insists. "Here, look for yourself." With that, she pulls down her pants and gives him a little peek. "No, I'm sorry" he says. "My mum already told me that all women have teeth down there." "Oh for crying out loud!" she cries. She whips off her panties, throws her legs behind her head and says, "LOOK, I DON'T have any teeth down there." The boy takes a good long look and replies, "Well, after seeing the condition of those gums, I'm not surprised!" hehehehe..... Cheers Van

    Merry Christmas

Thanks all for the warm wishes! A good bunch you Guzzista. I decided long ago that of all the bikes out there the one I REALLY always wanted was a big block Guzzi. After getting and enjoying my Tenni so much, I don't think there is any other bike out there that has that rare combination of style, performance and cool factor like the V11's do. Not to mention the best exhuast burble/OMG-that sounds soooo good at full song as a V11 with pipes does. If I do ever get back in the sadle again it would definatly be another big Goose, (although that supercharged GL 1000 goldwing, the real bike, not thr lux-o-barger, done up as a cafe racer is damn cool). Next though it would probably be something that I could play with and customise. Cheers, Van

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !! To all those Guzzista out there, have a great, safe, warm and dry holiday season. This site and the people on it have been a pleasure to be associated with since I got my Tenni. Well, for the most part anyway. Being a Tenni owner you always have to put up with the snipes and barbs flung at us by a certain Scura rider from Belfast who shall remain nameless. I always put it down to jealousy and plain sour grapes as Tenni riders are very secure in the knowledge that their bikes are special and don’t need to be seen on black bikes to prove how studly we are…..we just are! Long time members might remember that I wrote about my son being so badly hurt on our annual bike trip in California back in ’08. Thankfully he survived the accident but was in critical condition with the probability of being paralyzed and severely handicapped for a long time. During that time we got cards and letters of support from so many of you on the site. To know that there were others out there who had gone through trauma and survived and gotten stronger was a huge help to me in coping with and dealing with what he was going through. A very sincere and heartfelt thank you. Since his accident my son Tom has gone from strength to strength and is now to the point where he is able to live independently and is even going to college. His next hurdle is regaining his licence and getting an adapted vehicle. Miracles do happen! After the accident I continued to ride but enjoyed it less and less. Having my ridding buddy broken while I was out just didn’t sit well and I surprised everyone who knows me by letting #125 go to a good friend who apart from a broken pawl spring, has had many good and fast miles on it. Funny, I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would. What I do miss is the camaraderie and the “coolness” of having a bike and hanging with like minded people. Always a good bunch you bike riders! Anyway, to all you V11 and associated riders out there, you have been a great bunch, friendly, welcoming, very helpful technically, and super supportive. I just wanted to say farewell and thank you to all out there. I’ll still check in and read with delight the stuff that comes out of some of you…..even that Belfast guy So to all you Guzzista, Thanks, and thanks to Jaap for the great site, Ride safe, far and fast and above all, enjoy!! Cheers, Van
  6. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL I would like to share an experience with you all, to do with drinking and driving. As you know some of us have had brushes with the authorities on our way home in recent months. Well I for one have done something about it. The other night I was out for a dinner and had a few drinks with some friends. Well, after having far too much vino, and knowing full well I was wasted, I did something I've never done before. I took a bus home. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before.
  7. Unbelievably tragic when a rider (any rider) gets killed. Simoncelli was great fun to watch with his elbows out, damn the torpedoes, style of racing. I was watching the race on the tube and it looked to be a horrific accident, so severe that you just knew it wouldn't be good news. Two things, if I was AGV, whose helmets have always been my fav's, I would be having a very hard look at the footage and of the facts to see what went wrong. I wonder if Val is going to continue racing or maybe call it quits? .....just saying Marco, RIP and thanks for the thrills.......
  8. No, the games went right to the seventh and final game. Sad to say, it was planned as the riot started even before the cup was presented to Boston so I surmise that the hooligans that rioted had planned to do even before hand.....bad karma for Vancouver, and so unfortunate as it was a total case of a few idiots gave us the black eye. Not the real fans, as they where gratuitous in defeat giving Boston, their goalie and one of their players who's from here a standing ovation. The good Karma part is the reaction of the population the day after with shows of empathy and gratitude to the police who handled it well and then even organizing impromptu clean ups. Pity that in such a great place with a very laid back vibe you still get IDIOTS! Cheers Van
  9. Hey, It shoud have been the Canucks, they've never won th cup in the 40 years of having a franchise, but they self imploded and I must say, the best team and goalie won...well deserved as they totally "got" to our team. AND at least Boston had a victory parade, not the shamefull bloody riot by a couple of hundred degenerates that turned our little laid back corner of the world into an embarasment....... next year? Go the Habs!! or maybe even the JETS !! Cheers Van
  10. Fitted a set of the MPH risers, for me, it turned a good riding position into a great one. Brought the bars back and up just enough. Enjoy your Guzzi ! Cheers, Van
  11. Thought that this about sums it all up! Cheers Van
  12. I am disappointed that Stoner is leaving Ducati. I will be surprised if he does well at Honda. I think that Lorenzo and Spies are the ones who may come out of all this on top. ...... I tend to agree, Honda have a nasty habit of letting their internal politics get in the way of what they are capable, Honda to Moto GP is what Ferarri is to F1....massive ability, confused by wayward ego's and catatonic process at times........Look out Casey! On the other hand he probably needed to get back to Honda as they have the ability to produce championships like no other team..... Cheers Van
  13. Ok, so it's official that Casey will go to Honda next year,..... Sooo, if that's the case will Rossi take Burgess and go to Ducati as he should and then leave the door open for Spies to move up and take his place alongside Lorenzo?? Moto GP needs some more drama, if it wasn't for Ben this year and a "I'm really trying" Hayden, it would have been a bit too much like F1. And now that Biaggi is storming away with the Aprilia in Super Bike has he become a good guy and a hero once again ? All good stuff for the fans so far! Cheers Van

I must admit that I quite enjoyed the fact that we Tennista had "special" status (as we should) in the site. I still feel that the tenni's are special and deserve special treatment. LONG LIVE THE TENNI SITE !!! Cheers Van

    TENNI REGISTRY

Welcome fellow Tennista!!You have a very special bike, enjoy it!! Cheers Van
  18. I know that I could be accused of being just a little bit biased,...but. Tenni Green IS the right colour I recall seeing pics posted somewhere of some Guzzi championship winning bikes that where painted Tenni green that looked stuning...and yes BFG and all those other Scura types, black is a cool colour for the Guzzi, but ANY old bikes can be black, AJS's to Zundap's...but ONLY Guzzi's can be Tenni Green ! Cheers Van
  19. Ah Hah !! the true BFG finally reveled in rare picture with friends. Cheers Van
  20. Can't really offer up info on Vancouver, BUT, if you happen to come across to the Island, and find yourself close to Mt. Washington, make contact as we are 30min from the top. We can offer up a fair cuppa tea or coffee and a great Curry or a Salmon on the BBQ Cheers Van
  21. Glad to hear that BFG finally realises that he's been in the dark way too long, Yah, it has been pretty quiet for some time now, ...demographics, weather in the northern hemisphere, and our slowly but surely shrinking owner base. Plus, our bikes, with the help of all the technocrats on the site have been getting more reliable and rider friendly over time. Getting back to BFG, I almost ..."almost".....miss the disparaging comments about the Tennista's and their bikes. Cheers Van
  22. Hey, that sounds like my bike!!!!! My Tenni has been an absolute pleasure to own and ride, I nearly sold it last year (long story) but one ride into work on a good clear day I thought .... this thing is purrrfect, it handles as well and goes as well/fast as I can ever ride, it sounds so frig'n good, and it looks so damn cool that the only thing I could ever get that would attract more envy would be maybe an MV, so buy it and welcome to the best site on the net. Cheers, Van
  23. All good!! And especially good as I live in Campbell River, the gateway to the Gold River road!....... If you do get something off the ground I'm in. Plus I can previde a decent rest stop on the way. Cheers Van
