    Stelvio

Don't know if this has been posted, but I'm drooling over a Stelvio after seeing this vid
  2. Okay, you asked for it so here it is! The sound bite of the FBF pipes and second install ment of "mod my moto". Couldn't figure how to imbed the video so here's the link.
  3. I've heard this before and is the exact reason that I went with carbon cans. I was initially going to get the Mistrals since I have the Mistral x-over but got a great deal on the Ferracci's. FYI, the price on the Fast by Ferracci website is for both cans and not each can. As for sound, they are awesome, make the bike sound GREAT!!! Will post a sound clip in the few days, as soon as the temp gets above 30F and there's little/no wind.
  4. Is that why divorce here is so high? Now I know why she let me have two bikes!

Like Guzzirider, if I get one it will be for touring. I've already got a Suzuki DR650 for my dirt adventures.

I wonder how top heavy it feels? Went to the bike show this weekend and sat on the Buell Ulyses and the Triumph Tiger. I felt the Buell felt less top heavy than the tiger while my two buddies thought they felt the same. Ergo's we're equally good on both bikes.
  7. rascal chestnut!!! That's a porn name if I've ever heard one.
  8. Got the cardan bar from RossoPuro. Bar is about 6oz lighter than stock, but much appealing to the eye. Gave the bike a butt dyno run and feels faster now!! J/K, the bar is purely for looks, but since its made in Italy I get an extra 15 style points, and the small RossoPuro sticker on the bar adds 5hp! Will post some pics when I'm able too, they aren't uploading at the moment
  9. Please tell me that's a henna tattoo and will come off in 3 - 4 showers!! J/K, its good if you'll own a Guzzi for the rest of your life. Hard to change Moto Guzzi into Ducati, BMW, Honda, etc
  10. Did a short little vid of my Mistral x-over that I just got/installed. Sounds a lot better than stock, butt dyno says its got a little bit better pickup and smoother power band. Here's a pic of the stock vs. Mistral.
  11. Looking to see if anyone has the rear fender section (the one that holds the tail light, turn signals, and license plate) that they would be willing to part with.
  12. Arie, and anyone else looking for the shield so you can get rid of the hugger. I made these two bits from a plastic trash can. Was actually quite simple, just took a little time. I'd be happy to take them off, trace the template and post it for anyone that wants it. One note, on the second picture or top part of the shield. You can see that I bent the plastic in to match the lines of the frame and then bent the top part up to strap to the bar above the battery box sticks down behind it. To make these bends, it really helps to have a heat gun (the super hair blow dryer type).
  13. Am starting to put together a full Mistral exhaust (x-over and cans), will add the PCIII and had some questions about MPG. A lot of people said they actually experienced a slight gain in MPG after adding the PCIII, so my question is at what point do the mods begin to take away the MPG (i.e. pistons, air box mod, etc)? I'm not planning on doing anything else besides the above, just wondering out of curiosity.
  14. It actually wasn't that expensive....if your paying in Euro's!!! $115 Euro's shipped equates to about $180 US!! Damn Europeans always thinking of ways to screw us Americans over
  15. Yeah, I bought the AL bar stock/strap today. I was trying to be too cute with it and can't bend it to the proper degree. I figure I'll get one piece for each side, bend them in the middle around the pipe so that the bar overlaps itself. After this, I will have the basic shape of the bend I want and can modify it a lot easier. As for the straps, I bought some that were too big from Home Depot in the plumbing section w/ the pvc pipes. I mocked them up on the pipes, and while they don't look too bad I do like the look of the one piece better. Plus I don't know that the bolt on the hose clamp would look all that good or be as clean looking. I will keep this alternative as a bakcup though. I'll take some pics when I'm done in case others want to see/know.
  16. Yeah, I was joking about the suggestion to heat it with a torch and it burning me. I think I figured out a way to make the bend, I'm just going to have to go buy another aluminum plank from Home Depot. My other thought was to use the clamps (the ones with the slots and tightenting screw) that are used on pipes, but I like the inch wide AL better and would probably look much cleaner.
  17. Ok, is there a trick to bending it? I've got it bent for the most part to the shape around the exhaust canister but its still a little stiff. I'm looking to make the fit a little closer. Oh, and thanks a lot for the heat suggestion....especially telling me that the aluminum would be hot!!! Way to be there for me J/k. I haven't tried it yet and may have to pick up a torch as a last resort.
  18. I bought an aluminum plank about an inch wide and 1/8 inch thick, I'm trying to bend it around the stock mufflers to make customer exhaust hangers, I've got it bend almost all the way around but am having trouble bending it the last little bit to make it form around the muffler better. Does anyone know how to bend aluminum so as not to break or scar it? I've got a heat gun but am not sure it will make the aluminum hot enough to be any more bendable than it already is.
  19. ordered the piece from RossoPuro and was wondering before I rip the old cardan bar out if I need to lift the bike up so I'm not compressing the rear suspension? can I just pull the bolt from either side and plug the new one in? Anything else I should know from those that know or have done it?

    MGS-01

That is about the sweetest sound I've ever heard coming from a motorcycle Wonder if I could get my LM to sound like that?
  21. I've seen some with aftermarket exhaust hangers with drilled circles in them? Anyone know where I can get them? I've seen them for GSXR's, anyone know if they'd fit? Here's a link to the style that are made for the GSXR's http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUZUKI-GSXR...1QQcmdZViewItem
  22. Sweet!! Hopefully I'll be joining you next summer. I've got some open offers from some companies in Aurora and Co. Springs, just need someone to buy my house here in Md!!!! I grew up in Boulder and can't wait to get back!!!
  23. SPAMMER!!! You might want to provide a better URL unless your intentionally spamming. Might you have been talking about: http://www.magni.it/v11_exhaust.htm The .it instead of .com makes all the difference I don't really like the lines of the Magni exhaust, too curvy. Guess I'm more of a traditionalist and prefer the straight styles. I think the exhaust would look a lot better if the pipes were straight. My .02
  24. I don't know that I'd put it quite that harshly but if that's what happens then at least I'll be safe for the next year and a half Too bad for all you old F#C%ers Regarding Led Zepplin, one of the best bands ever but you could probably buy the DVD in about 6 months for $30. You just won't get the free contact high I might pay a grand if Pink Floyd ever does a reunion.....with Roger Waters of course. Would have loved for the Roger Waters 2007 tour to stop in the D.C. area.
