Riviera Paradise!

Affirmative: all same length. And overtightening is likely to "squoze" the gasket out of the contact surfaces. Someday (I'm pretty sure) I'll need to replace my originals . . .

Check, also, the O-ring and seal the mating surface of the distributor blanking plate . . . You can always clean it all up and apply a coating of foot powder to see what gets discolored first.

(Aw, nuts, Pressureangle's image does not display for me . . . . )

Love this cat's crazy Ford . . .

Not sayin' any names, but the initials > Pressureangle < came up . . .

That sounds delightful. I just had to search Supersport Champion Melissa Paris . . . not disappointed!

I came across this delightful video of The Goodwood Revival. Something for everyone (even bikes)! Makes me so want a car that just will not idle . . . .

So, what is meant by "hot linking?" I used "copy image location" for the image above and it displays fine. I am using this feature exclusively to display others' images besides those I host on imgzeit . . .

Nice! I scrolled through the gallery for a Guzzi, but found this. Which still speaks to my, er, "Rhine geist!"

David Konings new thread on Scura fork settings in Technical Topics:

At noblewood's request, I have attempted to merge some tensioner and cam trust bearing content here. Not thrilled with the way that went. All the content moved, but went into one post. I'll get better at this, I promise.

Alright, so, I did move all of the tensioner and cam thrust bearing content to "How to . . .", but am not very happy with how it grouped into one post. I'll get better at practicing this new system of moving ("splitting") posts. I appreciate nobelswood's suggestion that the valuable technical content be sequestered and footgoose's concern that our invaluable technical resources remain searchable.

I wouldn't let anybody else say that about you, bud. You're a cool cat in my book!

What flows best?: stock intake air box or two small aftermarket filters?
docc replied to Kane's topic in Technical Topics
Sheeesh. It's wonder my shit-tard old Sport has any compression left at all. I suppose I will have to get some pleated paper filters on hand for my impending 115,000 mile service. And the 125,000. That is my goal, as many of you know: 200.000 km. But it gives me premonitions, worries, weird lucid dreams, and the vision of pulling wildly into one more South'n Spine Raid and this . . . -
Our mon, swooshdave by his Sport piloting the videogyro . . . welldone, mon!!

I have never heard that term "labyrinth" filter ( now, there are LOTS of Pet'es terms of never heard, but the rest are generally, er . . . "discriptives" ). I have heard the K&N types called "oiled gauze" and was taught here a long time ago they are not "foam." I have listened to and read so much of the debate about them and somehow concluded their downfall is neglect. So, I service (clean/oil) mine about every 12,000 miles/20.000 km, but am now having second (fifth?) thoughts about returning to paper (if I can find a ready source). Otherwise, I have always been fond of the stock airbox in any one of its natural settings . . . -
Are those Champion resistor caps or NGK? Any idea the miles on them or year of V11 they came from?
-
I had to look up the introductory years of the Porsche 356 shown above with the V11 Sport: 1948-49. So, right there with the Moto Guzzi Gambalunghino that inspired the V11 design (1949-52). Proof positive, once again, that Luciano Marabese totally nailed the design of the V11!

Seems all Scura are 2002, not 2004 (except the Scura R), and that driveline paint certainly looks like '02 wrinkle-slough . . . Caveat emptor, as always .

Where I live, we use the agricultural vehicle or cast-off mining equipment standard of condition for our highway vehicles... How else would I be allowed to register my funky, old Sport?

The passion in that interview is such a delight! Thanks, fg! I wish I had a better track of this song to post, but it was recorded in The Netherlands, so --> it rates! <--- (and there is a blue dress involved . . . .) Fred Eaglesmith "That Old Machine", I am sure was written about my Sport . . . (and me) . . .
