  1. Y'all are breaking my heart here . . . I am betting that GreenFrame 1000S was the one I dragged a trailer to Indianapolis to buy in about '99. The deal fell through and we dragged an empty trailer 600 more miles back home. The good news is, if I had gotten it, I would never had brought the RedFrame Sport into the fold . . . That GreenFrame is gorgeous, buddy!
  2. Oh, man! Thanks to Jaap for posting that band in "What do you listen to?" Got to enjoy their performance in Nashville. Just so much fun!
  3. Makes this sort of thing seem positively sane . . .
  4. Wow, Dave Swanson! What a sweetheart!!!
  5. " Ach du lieber himmel ! " (Just could not resist reposting that, !) I totally have never considered that carbon fiber is conductive! About 100 Ohms from one end of my exhaust canister to the other. Wow, 68C, thank you!
  6. I can vouch for footgoose. He has "nicely packed" and shipped a couple V11 items to me in the past. Solid guy!
  7. Could not bring this PC545 back. Kil't by the Battery Tender. The V11 owner now has a new PC545 and an Odyssey 6 amp charger. Today, I discovered my test bed PC545 in Swampee, the CubCadet, at 7.45v. The charger refused to give it a go, so I have it jumpered to the Deka AGM in Mr.Bill, my '91 MTD. Might as well try the deep discharge recovery . . . (Build date on the dead battery is 88th day of 2010.) The Sport's battery is 155th day of 2014. She may be getting a fresh PC545 and be donating the 4-year-old to Swampee.

    Maps?

Glad you guys are working on this. This is the map I've been using with my Sport all this time . . .
  10. I used to date a girl with a description something like that . . .
  11. I mean, you don't want stilettos scratching your stilettos, either!
  12. Haha: " . . . I ate my body weight in BBQ . . ." Good on ya, man! Success!
  13. + + + + =
  14. A great find! As romantic as a fly-and-ride seems . . . a fifteen-year-old V11 with under 900 miles? Whew. I would so totally have it delivered and go through it stem-to-stern . . . After all, there are not "all three fluids", but seven. Eight if you count both forks. Dang: nine with the rear shock. Then there is the battery thing . . .
  15. Nice! Looks like a rolling beach party!
  16. I have been using a PF4C Magnetti-Marelli sourced from Harley-Davidson (Buell) for years and years. I am given to understand that the output curve differs from the PF3, but it seems rather transparent to my mediocre skills. It was also inexpensive and locally available. Wow, looks like the PF4C is not just Buell, but a long list of common Harleys . . . Here is an Amazon listing FYI ($55.73US) : https://www.amazon.com/Standard-Electronic-Injection-Throttle-2001-2008/dp/B000GZKRY8
  17. Best of luck on your search, Sir! I feel like I had it so easy back in 2000. One model, three colors. Find what you love and jump on it!
  18. Is that LeMans a 2004? Probably best of the breed. Seems all of the bodywork on those was color-matched (all red or all black/ red stilettos). Nice, man!
  19. " . . . on the Chesapeake . . ." Now I'm havin' trouble feelin' sorry for ya, buddy. Ya had me goin' there, for a while . . .
  20. What is your idle speed? And have you confirmed that with guzzidiag (the tachs can be off as much as 500 rpm) ?
  21. My hiccup(s) were certainly a mixture of causes, but the TPS was a big contributor. I could not detect it watching the change in millivoltage, but could see the *jump* in Ohms (milliOhms?) with the TPS unhooked and looking simply at the change in resistance. In my case, the CO Fuel Trim at - (minus) 27 was a factor, as was the corroded right coil connection. At this point, I feel confident that all the effort to service and treat the connections, switches and relays throughout has been helpful, while nonspecific. Electrically, other than using High Current Relays, the Ignition Switch is worth cleaning, inspecting and servicing (Vaseline® or, better: Caig DeOxit$). The simple stuff would be open the air screws to a full turn, increase the idle to a true 1250 +/-, and use high quality fuel (either a zero ethanol premium or Shell Premium V-Power Ntro+).
  22. There are several different Sport/Scura fairings. Early sport (1999-2001) accessory flyscreens are not the same as Scura and later model V11 Sports. Or even the Rosso Mandello fairing. And, yes, it is the mounting that is model specific. LeMaynes fitted a Stucchi to his early Sport and documents the fitting in his gallery : https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?app=gallery&album=240
  23. Yes, yes: Beethoven. I thought I was clever to guess Vivaldi knowing that it was not Wagner (which is what is usually spinning in my head when it is not AC/DC . . . The fender installation, biesel, is so very nicely done!
