  1. She sure doesn't seem to be charging well (should be over 14v at rpm). Simple enough to install a known good regulator. Does your Battery MINDer drop into a ~13.5v float mode with reduced amperage after the battery is at full charge? But, yeah, this stern warning from my regulator supplier causes me to to disconnect the regulator while charging ("pull the fuse") . . .
  2. Seems the whole sidestand project was handed off to some junior ingegnere who was told, in proper Florentine Italian, "Don' duck this fup."
  3. I have to give my trophy back? You'll make me start talking smack about relays . . .
  4. I am always learning from you guys! Sidestand Study would be a good TechSession at the Fart-eenth SSR.
  5. Dark, dark talk . . .
  6. The Parts "Fiche" for the 1999-2001 V11 shows this windshield assembly GU01977240 on page 04. It would be for the Rosso Mandello (not the fiberglass Stucchi accessory that was available, color matched, for the early green, silver, and black sports). Nice piece, and the genuine article!

Ummm, wait . . . three per side? one into the engine timing chest and these two, at the top, into the spine . . . .
  8. Looks sweet, man! Welldone!

MotoInternational lists it (doesn't mean they have it), but no details on fastener size/ pitch: GU98612635 Two US dollars, fifty US cents [i have long used a method of LocTite-ing any fastener found missing from my single or my twin. . .]

The Tonti frame of the 850T is nothing the same . . .
  12. Yeah, I tried that, too. Did not work for me. (And a few others) . . . Like I said: rabbit'ole! So, no, not the high mass brass holder, but the total opposite end of the spectrum to allow the temp sensor to recover from heat sink more quickly.
  13. Post a pic? (Any sidestand that shows that kind of damage should lead to a thorough inspection of the stand's mounting bracket, the integrity of the "sump spacer", and the fasteners referenced in the link.)
  14. Okay, here is the image I've been searching for that shows the common lateral wear from deep cornering: Not the circled fastener. That is one of the V11 Achilles' Heels! Look at the stand's foot ground flat on the outer edge. Mine has not touched there again since I spec'd my suspension springs and "set my sags." https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13357&p=224484
  15. And just how would I attach it? Yeah, well, this is embarrassing . . . I would use JBWeld. Another *crow dig*, I know . . . or a proper "Bodge Point." (You did say "epoxy" in your first post. You did! You did! )
  16. oh, man . . . that temp sensor mod has been declared "over the top" and "totally nutcase" . . . . . . following docc down the rabbit hole . . . . ( worked for me. )

Well, yeah, buddy! That is the main front (sub)frame connection to the "stressed member" engine . . . Good find!!
  18. Good luck with the fix. How about a Delrin boot?
  19. Fussy Italian girls! But, good news, buddy, you're back on the road! And she actually performed well for your Ozark Spine Raid? A couple thousand miles, that, yeah?
  20. Looks like it was grounded deployed. Not normal wear, which is only exhibited on the outboard edge of the foot. Somewhat visible in this image :
  21. Is the side stand switch functional?
  22. That doesn't look like the typical outboard wear of the shoe from cornering deeply. More like it struck the pavement while deployed?
  23. My Sport used to do that at low speed and high ambient temps. It took a long while to sort as there were a handful of contributors. What do the aviation guys call that . . . Stacked tolerances? The final contributor was building the low mass head temperature sensor/ holder.
  24. Fortunately, the V11 fuel line between the injectors is one piece.
  25. You big-Bro's . . . gotta love ya! I would not be here without mine . . .
