  1. Loks like that's all that image will give us. Try this one:
  2. I'm ready for another subtle clue . . .
  3. Hmmm, plus, when I read "not installed", I thought the mounts are not installed (?) That's why I said, "I would want to see to the mounting myself."
  4. Footgoose begs the question, then: what is the "certain width" that becomes oversize?
  5. The dimension I posted is the width across the bags, mounted. Yeah, they might squish a bit, but shipping companies will probably take a maximum dimension. My mounts (without bags) are ~18", Mistral canisters ~23", bar-end weights ~29"
  6. 36 inches looks like a good number for maximum width (soft bags and the varied ways of mounting could change). Personally, I would want to see to the mounting myself. This can be achieved more than one way and can be "refined" or "tuned" by a dedicated owner. I am sure I have narrowed mine. So, maybe other members will post their results . . .
  7. Thanks, Scud, for sharing the experience! A soothing elixir for a guy with no clutch and his V11 OTL (On The Lift).
  8. I'm hoping this is one for the En-psycho-pedia of Parts. It will be a great thing for this community to know that the later [CARC] clutch slave fits the V11 simply by swapping over the bleeder. Should know in the next week or so . . .
  9. Do you just have one bike? I assume with 1.4 billion miles on the V11 you must. Haha , well I have a 1990 Honda GB500 I bought new. It's on the verge of turning over 50,000 miles. Looks like it might make it this go 'round. Several have braced me for the barrage that may occur if I ride the GB to the South'n Spine Raid . . .
  10. Thanks, man! I have an '06-'07 Breava unit coming off ebay. It would be great to compare them before I start jacking the Sport apart. Maybe compare piston dimensions.
  11. . . . . . . . . *test in progress* . . . . . . . . .
  12. From the album: docc's sport

  13. Josh spotted the very interesting similarity in the V11 "command cylinder" (01086330) and that of the Breva (perhaps the Norge, Griso, and 1200SPORT also?) : 05086330 Is the only difference the inclusion of the bleeder?
  14. And, once again, the *classic* V11 Sport holds itself high in the finest company!
  15. *Groan* . . . in a continued effort to put off crabbing my SpineFrame and get back on the road > prima de presto Scud did some access comparison on the early, unbraced, RedFrame and it *may be* possible to swap the slave ("command cylinder") without removing the swingarm. I've long read that they can be a bugger to get off. I'll give that a try and see if the trouble resolves. If so, the M/C kit can go in the spares cabinet. Pushing back against the funky blues, which is: having to be without my beloved RedFrame Sport [edit 22 June, 2017: MI says "no slave cylinder available" ]
  16. The Grimeca slave cylinder is original to the Sport (103,410 miles/166.790km), master cylinder rebuilt at 62,000 miles/100.000km) for fractured internal spring, and the entire clutch replaced about 4,000 miles from a warranted leak failure/slippage. Last fluid change/ bleed 4,000 miles ago. The notably increased clutch/flywheel noise goes back about two years. *Really-notably-increased*. Probably the easiest thing to do is just change out the hydraulic cylinders, but this idea that the significant wear in the flywheel and clutch disc teeth is telling. I remember another phrase my trusted friend Josh shared with me in the past, "Once and done." It actually looks like Andy York also took this *Once&Done* approach. I'm pretty sure I have the worst steel V11 flywheel on the planet.
  17. Is the link to LuckyPhil's "Shift Improvement" thread?
  18. Could you simply add some guards like on the factoryLaFranconi?

    Hot hot hot

You need a "quality" multimeter and the cables in this thread "Diagnstic Cables": http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19612&page=1
  20. Tried to ride again today after adjusting the lever for more travel; didn't get a half mile and the lever went limp. I can't seem to get it to do it stationary. Why is that?
  21. I just want some of that *Barbaric Oxygen* to infuse my grey 'Stich. Great thing about the 'Stich is, it makes me look like a Bigger-Than-Life-Power-Ranger Little kids are *woww-ed*! And old dudes think I'm "goin' to the moon!" Admittedly, the 'Stich tried to kill me when we had the South'n Spine Raid in the worst June heat ever in middle Tennessee. One of the reasons that the South'n Spine Raid will forever be "The Weekend After Labor Day." The other is that you simply cannot get *Barbaric Oxygen* east of the Mississippi . . .
  22. That's the last straw! *FART-eenth South'n Spine Raid at your place! (Glad you found her by the roadside . . . none of us could likely resist her charms . . . )
  23. I am still curious about the fuels available in Germany (?)
