  1. PM me your cell & I will send you a few pics
  2. Is it a direct fit ?
  3. I wouldn't . You would just have a possible problem looking to happen and IDK how you have the tails of the wires done . Are they naked or terminals , etc. ? I would just store them with all your special tools for your bike(s) .
  4. Well , the suspense is killing me . What is a Go_Winkie and what do you do with it ? -
  5. Good luck . Take deliberate and slow steps in diagnosing this so you will know what you do to repair it .
  6. i'll second that ......... What was the problem ?
  7. Thanx for the fix !
  8. You've never seen how I act (on my large white motorcycle) when I get around windmills .
  9. A TPS is a potentiometer . You are using your meter to find a glitch . These glitches are going to usually exist at the position they usually operate at . you don't need a Ouija board , divining rods or a peach tree limb , just a meter , a little knowledge and some confidence . Watch a few videos , Google ''pots" and think about what you are seeing happen . This will be easier to test than you think . Just remember to move this throttle slowly while you test . Also , get one of those diagnostic cables mentioned on this site that is used to set tps voltage . It will make things much easier !
  10. I hope you get a MG tail bag . Mine is a permanent fixture !
  11. The second from the end looks like a spark plug for the Ford engines . Lodge ? explain ......
  12. Welcome to the club !
  13. The rack is OEM Guzzi . Guzzi has/had a bag that attaches to it , looks beautiful and is very good. Shop around for a used one here , NOS from dealerships , then eBay or Amazon .
  14. All this 100k+ spark plug service BS will bite you in the butt . I've seen them so tight I thought they would twist off when removing them .
  15. This is a stupid ? Can a super welder TIG it or something ?
  16. Try these guys . I think they make special cables on request . I think the cables for the TPS cable has a website that makes up cables also . https://www.obd2cables.com/products/obd-cables/obd-ii-cables/
  17. There are a LOT of Youtube videos dealing with getting / keeping in shape for riding ( crotch rocket style ) bikes . Too many to single out one or two to post . You can go to a gym to be competitive , stay home and MacGyver it if you have a good imagination . There is one thing for certain , maintain a habit of exercises . You are going to have to go after specific areas to improve . I am starting in the morning !
  18. You pull the threads or twist a plug off in the head and you will use anti-seize from now on . I think copper is the anti-seize de jour for Ford products now for spark plugs . All the plugs I install have a smear of anti-seize on the threads .
  19. Uhhhhhh . 45 ft lbs is about as tight as you would want on a 10mm or 3/8'' fastener . If you need that torque going into aluminum , you need to use a stud instead of a bolt .
  20. Any time you do anything to a bike , you have to look at ALL the side affects . Look at all the wiring routing and connections . AFA the v85 , You can $atisfy that lu$t any time you want .
  21. That looks like a store I could spend the day in !
  22. Not at all . There is a reality we cannot escape . being able to run with children ALL day long in the hills of Giant City State Park , hauling hay or cutting tobacco , going from a 6 shooter to a single shot , etc. I had a friend that was on the back of a boat at Green Turtle Bay with some friends late one afternoon . He remarked to all the men standing around the stern , "do you realize we used to talk about all the drugs we were taking , and now 40 yrs later we're doing the same thing but for a different reason" !
  23. Is this store where you live ?
  24. if a person wants the "safety" of a thread sealant , you can use an amount of weatherstrip adhesive to the ( clean ) threads on a fastener , allow it to dry and install . with a lot of new parts such as front hub assemblies , they come with new bolts and have an adhesive on the threads . This is a form of Loctite and will keep the bolts from rusting / seizing in the threads . Phil's statement about lawsuits is about as true as it gets as far as keeping things tight !
