  1. I installed it on my red frame with just removing the throttle balance rod . IT WAS A JOB !
  2. Let me change my answer , you better look to see if there is something to bolt the brace to before you buy . You do understand , there are no laws w/Moto Guzzi , only loose rules .
  3. The frame plate fits the red frame ONLY . Trust me , I have an extra to prove it !
  4. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . Uh , whatever you want it to be ? I thought I knew about batteries . Flooded cell , yeah . Gel , AGM . Uh NO !
  5. It's certainly not like a GXER , Ninja or Harley . I am certain the skalawags didn't even know what they got !
  6. I have the black frame 02-03ish (external fuel pump) and a red frame 99-00ish V11s , of course the SE w/the righteous red/white paint scheme , and the Suzuki w/the red, copper, orange paint .
  7. Brother , I feel for you . I hope you get it back in perfect shape .
  8. NOOOOWWWWW what did you not do ?
  9. What is your preference in "bar ends" ?
  10. Sorry , brake lever , no clutch lever . The shift lever will be scarce . Like you will probably have to buy new . I have a pair of anodized (reddish) head protectors .
  11. Does anyone have a part # for the Valeo starter drive on the V11 ? I want to get one close w/o waiting on one from away from here ? It's a Valeo with a 9 tooth gear .
  12. I was looking to see about a part # for a starter drive for my red frame . Got to looking at the fact we both have 87 Lemans SEs , 2003 V11s and 2012 Suzuki V Stroms . Now , do you own a red frame too ?
  13. Mmmmmm . 4v !
  14. The unfortunate thing here in the States . It id divided among party lines AFA the existence , lock-down , response , treatment , etc . I am glad our Commonwealth has good leadership and is acting with good actions . I know there is a gigantic toll taking place with this lockdown . I am sorry . I really think this could have been "on the short rows" had it been acted upon quicker .
  15. Hey , about 10 yrs ago I wen to an open house at the BMW store in Cape G , Mo. After I got home I found one of the slip-ons hanging DOWN and about to fall off . ---- ! The best of us miss things all the time . If you ride with a pack , everyone look at each other's bike . IDK why , but you will see someone else's "fault" before you see your own . It doesn't hurt to do a pre-flight , because there aren't many unnecessary parts on a bike or aircraft .
  16. I have 3 or 4 sets , you tell me ?
  17. How that bolt got out .............IDK . It took a long time to remove .
  18. Mine came with M4 . I replaced them just to have something different .
  19. They are Schnorr washers . The company is an Ann Arbor , Mi. They invented these . They are under most of the fasteners on this bike . Whatever fits the bolt an looks good can work . If the Schnorr washer isn't readily available , I would use a grade 8 flat washer .
  20. No brand , part # or any markings ? I have about a dozen things that look like this . They are distributor wrenches . Used to loosen the hold down bolts so you can turn the distributor and set the timing .
  21. This looks like a good deal . I would have a trusty machine shop inspect EVERYTHING before going together . I would use new rod bearings . Some use new rod bolts . Look at the main bearings too . When you reassemble , blow everything out w/air and use Lubriplate white grease when you go together . Keep the cam lifters indexed when you go back together and use a camshaft grease when you go together .
  22. You can't be too clean !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I unscrewed the capscrew from my bike and measured it .
  24. It is a low profile socket head capscrew . It is a 12X35 1.75 thread pitch . there is a Schnorr washer along w/ Loctite .
