  1. Over the last two days I scratched around and installed a relay at the end of the starter solenoid wire . I attached a larger automotive relay to the battery tray and ran my B+ from the battery through a fuse holder ( 20a) to the relay . Grounded the - to a 10mm bolt at the rear of the tank . The feed wire to the solenoid connection . The original solenoid wire energizes the new relay and the current goes through the larger relay . This will stop all relay problems and taxing the factory wiring and connections . I have done this a lot on equipment with Lucas starters that burn up neutral switches , solenoids , etc. P.S. I used 16 ga wire to go from the battery to relay and relay to solenoid .

  9. Did you look at the pins to see if they were burned or cut it apart to see if the contacts were burned ?
  10. What did you do w/the original stuff ? I need the screws that hold the lens to the housing ? Uhhh , the lenses too , if you have them !
  11. Did your operator's manual come with a diagram glued to the back inside cover page ? I took mine and had 3 normal size and one 1.5 size and laminated .
  12. If the previous owner has tinkered with it the clutch lever has a screw in the end of the lever ( or close ) that some mess with tring to improve or change clutch action . Send me you cell and I will send you a pic
  13. Your clutch slip , is it coming from the hydraulics building up from a misadjusted clutch .
  14. I bought the ones Diesel had on his bike . He had a crash n burn and I got them . This was a few years ago .

  17. If the switch were normally open , when the key was on , the light would be off . Crank it up , the switch closes and the light comes on . The opposite of what you want .

  20. I see where some BMW rider and his ambulance chaser has filed ( in NJ ) a class action lawsuit against BMW for all things , faulty gearshift indicators . Their feelings are hurt because the rider cannot tell what gear they are in . Somehow , I can see that .
  21. Yes , I found that . I was trying to get one at a parts store and that # doesn't cross to anything . I will order from a Guzzi shop . I was trying to help the member with the messed up oil light and found mine didn't work . I was trying to figure if it was n.o. or n.c. ….. I guess n.c. because if I ground it w/k.o. it lights up .
  22. Is there a part # for the oil pressure switch ? I have looked and cannot find one .
  23. Disconnect the wire @ the oil pressure switch with the key on . If the light remains on , you have a ground from this terminal to the light.
