  1. Does anyone have any soft bags and mounts for a V11? I didn't realize how scarce these were until some went on ebay a month ago. UGH! Please contact ASAP!
  2. Have you tried Gustafson(sp) ?
  3. MosowPhil has the best advice... Do it!!!!
  4. Contact Euromotoelectric. He is the man when it comes to this stuff. He advertises in the MGNOC newsletter.
  5. Pinking? Just joking.. I ALWAYS run Premium gasoline in any bike.I feel better about it. All my buddys run as cheap as fuel as possible.
  6. A friend was talking to someone that had the 20k mi. drive belt replaced on his F800 for about $775. These new BMWs are so ugly you would wear a full-face helmet so no one would recognize you.
  7. At least it doesn't have 100,000 miles on it!
  8. My post NEVER mentioned a battery tender. I suppose I should have said a standard battery charger. Yes, if a battery is dead, you will want to start at a high rate of charge to get the charging "in motion" before charging at a low rate. a high rate of charge will heat and warp the plates in a lead acid battery. The plates in a gel battery are held in place better (with glass fibre mats) to prevent this. A standard battery charger puts out around 12-14v(on a 12v setting) output. The only thing you can manually alter is the amperage output of the charger.Again I say to charge the battery overnight on a slow rate of charge to FULLY charge the battery and use a dvom to verify the battery has a stable 12.65v after removeng the charger and letting it set for about 5 min. to settle.
  9. #1 make absolutely sure you have at least 12.65 v prior to attempting to starting. Use a dvom to check this voltage level. My girlfiend's V45 magna will not start unless the battery is fully charged! It will crank but not start. A fully charged 12 volt battery will read 12.65 volts. #2 always charge any battery as slow as possible. This is using the lowest rate of charge on the chager. Through experience, you cannot accurately charge a battery on a fast charge rate or by starting and running the bike even running it all day.
  10. I fond them on ebay. The seller has his own part #s.
  11. "Sta-bil" is a fuel stabilizer for the fuel tank. Put some in,crank and run the engine and let it mix with the fuel for a few minutes. Fill the tank up with fuel after finishing. Do NOT start and run the bike til you are ready to ride next year. A factory stand is the thing to buy to keep the bike on. You can go to a hardware store and buy a small studded swivel wheel like goes on a creeper to put on the lever part of the stand. To find out where to drill the hole, just rub the lever on the ground (concrete) to se the scuff mark. drill and mount the wheel and you can move the bike easily. This takes care of flat spots on the tire and mobility problems.
  12. I can't think of enough reasons to do this as I can enough drawbacks. the pressure regulator is attached to the tank. You will have to remove it from the tank or buy another one and attach it to the "other tank". I assume yours has an external pump. Remember you are playing with 30-60 p.s.i. of gasoline. I suppose you could mount the tank to something and run supply and return lines to the bike. If the pump is internally mounted you will need to fab a longer wiring harness to power the pump.

    My old girl.

I can honestly say , I've never met a rider who "used to own a Guzzi" .
  14. I mean the Monopoly man quiz?
  15. What was the answer to the first quiz ?
  16. I'm lazy, how much is that in $US ?
  17. In hopes this is the same man. He is the rich uncle "Milton Pennybags" from the Monopoly board game. Marketed in 1935 to present from Parker Bros. The game was invented by Charles Darrow circa 1933. Maybe some of these names will help you. According to pictures , his vest, bowtie top hat and cane are the same as I have seen. I cn't read music but I think those notes will help to decipher the quiz. Just guessing from the "trend line", Mr. Pennybags, etc. I would WAG the song is "Were in the Money" p.s. I got this from "The Monopoly Companion". One of many useless books in my own little library............
  18. The character is from the "Monopoly" board game. The man has a name but I can't remember it.
  19. I see them on ebay for $189 w/shipping . is this a good price ?
  20. Do any of you have PAZZO brand levers on your bike? Do you prefer them over stock? I suppose this is the stupidest question, are they worth it ?
  21. This ecu MAY have failed due to a bad input (tps, css, etc.) or output (ign.coil,etc..) device. Get and look at a wiring diagram and understand what is going on. I hope you understand how to use an ohmeter to test these circuits and devices. This ecu might or might not have failed due to outside influences. You do not want to install another ecu and have it fail upon tuning the key on. If you need help contact me and I will try to help.
  22. at least they didn't "chopper" it (yet) ? I think anyone who does this should be in an asylum. It's a good thing he didn't own a Buell or Britten....
  23. Do these have a liner in the cylinder? I thought they had a nikasil coated liner?
  24. The fuel pump through either low or high pressure can cause a rich or lean condition. This would either gas foul the plugs or wash the oil from the cylinder(s) from a rich condition. A lean condition would run hot , cause pre-ignition and burn a piston. I do not think this would hppen to one cylinder only. One bad injector might do this but you would want to inspect the spark plug for a clue to support this.
