  1. All you need is a lawn tractor and a rope thrown across a rafter..
  2. No, a kid gave it to me, and I sent it back to him after giving it a try. Haven't heard from him in years..
  3. Mr. Nevada and Skate would have you fixed up in no time..
  4. Some days, "you" get the bear..
  5. I have 2 words for you, Docc. Sig 3000. Maybe that is 3? It's the most tenacious lube I've ever used. The next time you are in there, it will be too. I use it pretty liberally without fling off. 2017-03-21_07-56-27 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  6. 58 fl lbs =78 Nm.. same same.
  7. I tried it on a Centauro, and it was horrible. Different lines.
  8. "Almost" an extra loop. This gives a little preload for more pressure on the upshift. Got mine today, too. Busy right now, but shortly I'll put it on the test fixture and run it until the spring or test setup blows up.
  9. That would be DPO. Distinguished Previous Owner.. I've seen their work many times.
  10. Yeah. Best beer in Indiana. (really) Food's decent.
  11. Thank you for peeking out the hamn dammer. Somehow, it helps life make more sense . . . And, if it is going to be multiple choice, "titanium" will be the correct response 83.476% of the time. "If it can't be fixed with a hammer, it must be electrical.." Oh, and congrats, Footgoose. If you're looking for a place to go, Indiana Guzzi lunch today 1Pm, People's brewpub, Lebanon.
  12. I had a set of titaniums on Rosie. The sound was sublime.. maybe the best ever. The problem was I couldn't hear her when wearing earplugs. Had to keep giving out test rides just so I could hear her motoring away.
  13. Added a little class.
  14. I had to google "36-18" and got: "Admissibility of evidence relating to use of genetic markers." Pretty sure that will link me to the Lear jet. Probably the Bentley, too . . . Lear jet? Piker. If you want to know whether somebody has money, just check to see if they have a helicopter. Crappy sell fone picture through the bedroom window. 2018-03-03_07-45-42 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr It was one of my better projects. Municipal runway light that I gave 40 bux for.. It had a humongous transformer in it that had blown up. Lowes had a garden light kit with a timer/transformer for $29.99. Made a couple of light holders for halogen lights, and it's been our night light for years. Just happened to be correct for our runway..
  15. Yer always welcome here at the 36-18 home for wayward aviators B&B, Docc..
  16. Another rant deleted All I"ll say is it's hard to get good help any more.. Thanks for bailing them out, Scud..the springs will Shirley be fine.
  17. Thanks again, Tim..
  18. It would be hard to find a better V11S in the country.
  19. Unbelievable. I just use a die grinder and a fiber wheel to cut that stuff. If you have Tim's Dremel with their cute little cutoff wheel, that would make short work of it, too.
  20. You're right, of course.. but.. it is all straightforward. You cannot believe all that Austin is going through trying to marry some 08 and 09 KLR parts together. Guzzis aren't like that at all. Everything that needs to be done to an early V11S is well documented here. Parts is parts, and will interchange. Spend a little time and have a bike that will last longer than you will. Gimme a Guzzi.
  21. Suuuurrre it did.. Pretty sure kglm took the award for that from Finland at minus 27ºC/-16.6ºF . . . I'm not so sure. We've had more days of below zero weather this year than I can remember. Finland? Yeah, they're no doubt colder. But Oklahoma?? Gimme a break.
  22. Suuuurrre it did..
  23. Wow! That's a little nippy..
  24. Yeah, that works great, and is my favorite. Most people don't have ready access to it, though. Like Phil says.. it can be subtle. I had a persistent mist from Rosie (Rosso Corsa) for a good while. Changed gaskets, lapped the valve cover flat, etc. Finally, using developer and patience, found a literally pin hole in the valve cover casting. It wouldn't leak until the engine was hot enough to thin the oil.
  25. Yeah.
