  1. The red bracket does look better than that silver. It seemed like a no brainer regarding getting a run of those done once he did the template. And it only makes sense to include the bolts rather than have someone shop around and try to find them.
  2. I brought the paint. I wonder if he gave me a credit on the bill? I financed the whole deal for the plates I guess. At least my bike is still on the road, so are some here and Don's still in business. OK, I'm a generous guy. You red frame guys own me a beer. I'm going to ask for a discount on the Desmo service on the Duc.
  3. I'd like to do some Ozark roads. Shouldn't be lots of traffic. the motel is still open @ $65 a night. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  4. So, even my 4A computerized charger still isn't enough for this battery? Sequences? I need to call Mission Control.
  5. Cancelled as you might guess along with the other bike rallies. not many vacations this year.
  6. I purchased it at Batteries +. I would assume it's an Odyssey. I thought it was odd that it started right up when it's cold but after I rode it, it lost it's cranking power on restart. I'd think the alternator would've done the job. I notice that my Ducati has Yuasa AGM and there appears to be no special instructions to charge it. In fact the Ducati dealer installs pigtails on it's stocked bikes for trickle charging.
  7. That's what my bike did last week. I rode it and then it was too weak to start. Hopefully that 4A battery charger will help.
  8. First, take off the valve cover and run the engine, if no oil stop right away. It should be gushing out. That means it's not the sender but it's oil pressure. Next, check your oil filter. It probably came off. (I have no idea about V7) After that better call Saul.
  9. .004 int and .006 exh loose ain't bad but not that loose
  10. I'd advise to keep the RPMs up and to replace the plugs it to gets too troublesome.
  11. better than my Pixel. As good as my little travel Lumix. But it's not the camera, it's the photographer. Rocker on WG has the talent too.
  12. Dave, I am impressed with wb, sharpness and depth of field with the photos of your Greenie. I tried to cheat and find the EXIF data but no luck. Would you share the info regarding camera, lens and exposure?
  13. Too much for me to keep up with. The little trickle charger didnt seem to work. Even more confusing, the battery was too weak to start the bike after I had ridden it for 30 minutes and had just sprayed the switches with contact cleaner. I guess it might have discharged a little bit when I couldn't get to start and turned the ignition switch on and off, played with relays and neutral switch connector only to realize I had cycled the kill switch to off when I was cleaning the switches. After that it just would barely turnover and kick back. I doubled the trickle charge over night (two units), I they're 500MA and it did start this morning. Then I read all of this rigmarole about AGM batteries and stuff, yada yada. Maybe these little chargers aren't right for it? So anyways, I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a 4A unit that has an AGM "mode". I've got it plugged in now. For $22 I didn't think I could go wrong. I figure you guys can tell me if this a fix or a screw up. It's showing green now 13.5V and in maintenance mode. (I think I'll check the starter connections next) https://www.harborfreight.com/4-Amp-Fully-Automatic-Microprocessor-Controlled-Battery-ChargerMaintainer-63350.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiOTUxOTU2OTQiLCJza3UiOiI2MzM1MCIsImlzIjoiMjIuOTkiLCJwcm9kdWN0X2lk IjoiMTIyNDMifQ%3D%3D &cid=paid_google|||63350&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=&utm_content=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtLT1BRD9ARIsAMH3BtVr8nFSPxjge4FBIzpBtyNjPwITq2X6AdTubk-pKP_L8qP-ixsj3moaAoh8EALw_wcB I g
  14. I had my original shock rebuilt with a heavier spring. I did it because the external adjuster didn't work. I ultimately had more noticeable results just playing with the adjusters on the fork. The issue I had was weave at higher speeds with those big HB Jr bags. I experimented quite a bit stiffening the rear, when I should've been softening the front. That was the key for me. I discovered it when I had a new front tire installed it was loaded with max air. The front was just bouncing all over the road and weaving. I wasted some time adjusting air pressure when the fork adjusters were right in front of my face. (Of course the rear tire should always carry 4lb more air than the front.)
  15. looks gorgeous Scud.
  16. Well Dave, my brother tries to one-up me all the time too. Looks like he got a nice one. I think there are more V11 Sport/LeMans in houses and displays than any other motorcycle. Before I bought Brad's Greenie, I tried to get one that was in an Atlanta McMansion that was displayed next to a full grand piano. They are beautiful works of art aesthetically, well the Greenies are.
  17. Funny I tried to post that and wanted fix the typo and the text disappeared. I didn't know it even posted.
  18. Italian Police Surplus Carabinieri Waterproof Motorcycle Jacket, New Sportsman's Guide carries top-quality discount Outdoor and Hunting Gear, Guns, Ammo, Fishing Supplies and more - all at great low prices! www.sportsmansguide.com There's $100 deal for surplus Italian Motorcycle Cop Jackets. It appears they are practical and well made. Armor, removable liner and rain proof. For $100, I thought I'd give it a try.Got my jacket. The size runs true, no need to get a larger size. I'd say it's the highest quality motorcycle apparel I've ever owned. Top quality. Three quarter length. Really heavy liner, almost a jacket in itself. Armor installed. Even comes with its own hanger and garment bag cover. The nits, are no vents, so it might be winter only? It's got those silly stars and left hand zipper. Yesterday, I had to test ride it. Low 70s here and 20 mph wind, would guess more like 30+.I took the liner out and did not snap the zipper fly. There are pass throughs in the two front pockets, I have no idea if they are vents or what the purpose is. Anyway, I found the jacket comfortable and breathable, just about perfect for the weather. In fact it seemed so breezy that I am wondering if it really is waterproof. I still wouldn't ride it in 90 degree weather but I think it's close to the same as my other (vented) textile jacket. Buffeting was good. I did about 80+ into that strong headwind and it was totally acceptable, then I noted that I hadn't cinched the sleeves down, so perhaps it's even better? This is my first 3/4 riding jacket and could feel the back armor go all the way to my lower back. I noticed the armor is much stiffer than the foam rubber stuff in my other jackets. One note on the sizing, the jackets run standard size, so they are larger than the normal motorcycle jacket. I usually wear a large tshirt, XL jacket and 2X motorcycle jacket. This 2x has plenty of room, I could have probably gotten by with an XL. But I was able to cinch it with internal cords, in fact I got them a little tight and loosened them.Nothing bad to say about it other than the little stars on the collar, otherwise it's neat, well made and functional. I could see this being a $300 jacket. Today I took it out in 84 degree muggy windy weather. Jacket was still acceptable, perhaps getting the larger size might help vent. I did feel some heat on the sleeves in direct sunlight but still acceptable. Normally I'd be wearing mesh today anyway. I think it's my "go to" jacket now.
  19. Last I was talking to Don, he still had brackets for sale. He had a batch made up when he fixed my bike and is selling them in a kit with fasteners.
  20. wow. Best to him.
  21. Best of luck. Hope it's OK
  22. These mass shootings are just another pandemic that won't go away.
