The New Moto Guzzi Factory

Perhaps marketing potential but not a lot of product. -
2025 Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists Oaks Park Show

The Vincent needed a start cart. A local rider has a NorVin with Rollie Free cams. It's almost impossible to foot start. Being in his 80s, he doesn't try anymore as he was explaining after attending the Texas Norton meet several years ago. -
The New Moto Guzzi Factory

I read that Guzzi will be selling a 450 parallel twin version of the Aprilia. Now a cafe version of the big Tuono would be icing on the cake. -

I used to play on one like this at Grampa's farm. He liked Internationals and thought Deeres were too expensive. -
Here's a little follow up on the Tedeschi Trucks show in Tulsa. Tulsa is an historic music town and great riding destination. It's home to the Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie Centers. Also home to The Church Studio established by Leon Russell in the '70's. Tulsa and the studio had lots rock stars at the time, Leon, JJ Cale, Geo Harrison, Clapton, Dylan, Mudcrutch (Tom Petty), The GAP Band, Bread, The Tractors, Teagarden & Vanwinkle. We took the tour of the Church, still a working studio, museum and small concert venue. We were told that Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks were there the day before. We saw The Greyhounds (a duo out of Austin) in the board room. They'd performed the encore the night before with Susan and Derrick.

Saw TTB at my favorite venue, The Tulsa Theater. They performed two sets, the show was three hours. "Soul Sweet Song" was a tribute to Kofi Burbridge, their original keyboardist and flutist. I got this photo, then they projected images of passed bandmates and musicians, Kofi, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, inspirations like Leon and BB King. I'll share a story. Three(?) Years ago Kofi was on stage with Susan Tedeschi working out an arrangement before the show started. He missed the previous tour due to illness. I yelled "welcome back Kofi". He gave a small bow with folded hands. The encore that night was just Kofi & Susan performing "A Song For You". That's the last show that I saw him. His brother Otiel played with the band and now plays bass for Dead & Co.

I've been to the Motorcycle OZ https://www.twistedoz.com/ -
You probably don't remember me whining that my car got broadsided from a gal playing with her phone, running a stop sign and hitting me in the right rear as I was exiting the intersection. It was in the shop for 3 months but is cosmetically and mechanically good to go.

All I meant to do was a make a joke about records vs electronic media. I intended to post a recent Doonesbury cartoon that I remembered and thought would be funny. The link was the only image that I could find on the 'net. I didn't see the other links your cite and don't see them now. Anyways, apology. I don't like as you describe political bullshit or wankers as well. So we're in agreement.. (You might not notice that I've generally refrained from posting music here for the reasons you've cited. I made an exception for the passing of Sly and Brian.)

The Most Beautiful Cafe Racer Yet?
LowRyter replied to Joe's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
Not even the best looking Beemer by half a mile. Not within 10 miles of Spineframe and 100 miles from a Greenie. -
Nice to hear from you.

ANSWERED Had a breakdown today. Caught on camera. Any thoughts folks?
LowRyter replied to Molly's topic in Technical Topics
to me the tell tale was riding the bike. If it had enough power to get started, you'd think there'd be enough electrical energy to run the ignition, despite a weak battery. If the thing dies while you riding, the first thing I'd guess is the charging system, of course the battery could have shorted out or lost a cell or two, but if the battery is recharging on the bench, then it's likely the ignition system. I think there's a place in Denver that sells Ducati regulators for $75. Just my guess, since I don't claim to be a mechanic. -

Those regulators aren't the greatest. And the stator might go because of it. Don't ask me how I know that. -
MM got what he deserved. MM was clearly faster, he passed and repassed Rossi for several laps rather than race for the win. This is what Rossi was saying MM would do before the race. It's apparent that MM did it out of spite and was determined to prevent Rossi from contesting the championship. Rather than warn MM before the race or give him the "meatball" during the race, the officials allowed him to do it and penalized Rossi. The big losers were the fans who were cheated out of a competitive championship by handing Lorenzo the title. My only point writing about it is that the subject came up comparing their respective legacies. I was an MM fan until that point and saw him win his first GP at COTA. I'm usually a fan of all the riders and like to see a good race. I'm glad to see MM fight through injury and come back on top. There's no question about his talent and competitiveness. But his "legacy" is forever sullied by his own actions. In my book, the same is true for F1 stars Senna and Schumacher.

Since he sabotaged Vale's '15 run for the championship, there's no way his legacy will ever match Vale's. It's a real shame for both of them. But MM made his own bed.

for sure, I didn't really care about it

I was three weeks old, the last time a French rider won the GP. I think they broadcasted the race by telegraph.

Since the new PM is visiting the White House today, maybe a deal will still go through? You'd think they would be looking for an off ramp for this disaster, otherwise lots of people are going to be hurt on both sides of the border.

They do look good especially on a Greenie. I think the bars are a bit lower than the LeMans. I suppose there is now way to repair the damaged one? You might check with body shop that specializes with car bumper / fascia repair.

Good race. Alex is leading the championship
