docc
It's all about the V11 Green. It's not actually the V7 Sport Telaio Rosso green, and it's not the 1100Sport yellow. Look at the dust cover of Ian Falloon's "The Moto Guzzi Story", 1999, Haynes Publishing UK. The V11Green is exceedingly hard to capture on image and reproduce in printing or online. It must be seen to be totally experienced. It changes with the day's light and the mood.
Scud
Ask any Greenie. (BTW, the "Greenie" probably isn't the V11-its-own-self, but its dedicated steward.) The V11 Greenie is a Ding an Sich. The color cannot be perceived through photographs. My kids call mine Dewey. I assume it's in honor of the pragmatic philosopher John Dewey. Definition of Ding an sich - (in Kant's philosophy) a thing as it is in itself, not mediated through perception by the senses or conceptualization.
luhbo
That's it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legnano_(cycling_team) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-new-team-Legnano-Cycling-cap-Italian-made-Retro-fixie-/181823074638 https://www.insella.it/news/moto-guzzi-v7-racer-gli-usa-anche-verde-legnano Don't call it Lime, please. I don't know how the cyclists called it then, but for sure in '72 the Sport's colour got its name after this team - Verde Legnano.
