...and what is the penalty for cancelling an auction? Might be worth it.

I just read through the BAT comments. They seem like reasonable questions. Tires absolutely should be replaced before riding. Brake fluid, despite looking good, can absorb water over time, and should be flushed every few years whether the bike gets used or not.

And... It's not a motorcycle in the house, it's a connection to your dad. Add in a couple months of core exercises to strengthen that back, and you're riding.

That Falcone looks lovely. Maybe you should keep that one. Talk about art in the house...

I have had two back surgeries, a knee surgery, need the other knee done and am in need of a hip replacement. That does not deter me from riding a V11. It has by far the most comfortable motorcycle seat I have ever sat on. As to ergos, Motobits pegs move the pegs down and forward, and the stock bars can be pulled up into what this 72 year old calls the "old man position."

I pulled them down as far as practical and swapped back to the OEM pegs. I'd consider rearsets if there were any.

It is so.

My late, lamented, and lost-to-me Ballabio I bought while Kathi was getting her master’s in Boston.

I did not tell her. It seemed the safest thing to do.

That was error.

I promised not to do that again.

So, as she is in George just now, I thought it prudent to mention all of this to her on the telephone this morning.

She used her well-honed wife, and middle school teacher skills to say that I “should do it if I feel it right.”

Men married more than a day or two see the trap there.

But I am musing about it.

The reality is that I am so smitten by my V 85 and pleased with my Stornello and EV, all three of the present occupants of the Moto Grappa, that it is difficult rationally to justify such a purchase now.

At 78 next month, I’m not sure that I want Kathi and my executor to go through anytime soon what the OP is just now.

Yes, I can see what I’m doing up above, and it’s not working.

Lord, that’s a sweet machine.

I remember a couple years ago, in the Spine Raid garage while drinking some Woodford Reserve Double Oaked 🥃, you talked so fondly about your long lost Ballabio, the one that got away. The BaT bike in question should live in the Moto Grappa, end of story. Real price is 5k, gotta have it no more than 6k even with the low miles.

I’d be perfectly, 100% fine with that price range, but disappointed if it’s significantly below that. I would have done a straight $5K on here, just so I wouldn’t have to deal with the BaT ‘fear of the unknown’…but, to my discredit, I came on here kinda late, for someone on this forum to kick around an offer. I do have a very nice 1953 Falcone up for grabs, however 🤣

The last five minutes is always fun to watch. Definitely getting some early action!

My son was going to take the 2000 as a 'tourer'. I told him that if he wanted one to keep forever and outfit for travel, this would be the one. I've bid on it.

Love that low mileage like new Ballabio, wish it was closer to me as I’d love to have the two of them, just 93 sn’s apart.
one with original Ballabio bars and mine with the Lemans bars and upper triple plate.

Maybe, but because it is an Italian Mfg product I think they would not apply, but even so I face a 12 (5 +7) % federal and provincial sales taxes.

Well, I certainly appreciate it! Thank you!

If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me here. The comments section on BaT is a royal PITA!

Wow, @Steve54296, I saw one of the comments on BaT suggesting you should be commended as the most engaging and patient seller there, ever (I paraphrase, but must agree).

Glad to see the bidding progressing and narrowing the commentary to those committed to the purchase.

Best of luck with the sale and thanks for keeping us in the loop. No one cares more about the V11 SpineFrame than this community!  :mg:  :bier:
