Need help/advice.... 2003 V11 LeMans. Had an issue a month ago where bike would turn over but not start. Noticed that I didn't hear the internal fuel pump prime when turning the key. Tapped on bottom of pump and tried the key a few times and it primed and ran flawless...until now. Bike has been sitting for a few weeks, turned key and no fuel pump priming noise. All lights are working...tapped the fuel pump base a few times and after a few tries she primmed....but now it turns over but wont catch. Fuel pump shot?

Recommendations on repairing. I'm out of my comfort zone with this repair. Anyone live close to East Tennessee?

First I'd try cleaning the connection at the fuel pump plug- it may be 'tug testing' when you bang near it. Also possible that the FP relay is marginal for carrying sufficient current-swap it out with the headlight relay to see if that resolves the issue.

Do you have a good source for spare relays? I hear the Omron ones are unavailable. MG Cycle perhaps?

This one was recommended recently by someone in Germany who is very knowledgeable on the V11 Models.

I should perhaps mention that he is of the opinion that one is well served to just change the relays every four years or so on spec. . At the price of these, why not?

https://www.voelkner.de/products/850370/HKE-4133-S-DC12V-C-R-Kfz-Relais-12-V-DC-35A-1-Wechsler.html?offer=93e6ea03ad7817bcc6bd3238ad7488c3

In case the link breaks, the search term for them would be

HKE 4133-S-DC12V-C-R

whereby HKE is the manufacturer.

Test the relays. if the starter works= Relay 1 works

if the headlight comes on = Relay 2 works

if the starter button works= Relay 3 works

The relays 4 and 5 are in tandem. Relay 4 comes "on" and supplies V (energize) to the coil in the Relay 5.

You can (for now)  swap relays 1 and 2 with relays 4 and 5 to test these and see if one or both are bad.

These tests are not absolute because of intermittent  no-starts.

Here are the recommended High (continuous) Current relays from Picker Components that @Pressureangle posted (originally posted by @Speedfrog:

Data sheet for the Picker Components relay

I'd love to see the data sheet (in English) for the Voelkner @audiomick posted.  :nerd:

This? B)

PS: Voelkner appears to be the vendor, but not the manufacturer. I couldn't find a site for HKE, who I believe to be the manufacturer, with a quick search. I did, however, turn up a few hits for HKE relays from other vendors.

Also, I see no declaration of contact material (silver alloy being preferable).

Looking at the data sheet behind the link above, I see that they do indeed mention "Contact material  Ag Alloy".

That link doesn't work for me. Would somebody else care to check it, and see if the problem is here or if the link is broken?

Just to add confusion, I'm still using the AliEpress relays I bought a few years back. Posted here:

This is what I have in every position.  I'm assuming #5 position is the one most towards the rear of the bike?
