  2. Upcoming road construction on the section of U.S. 129 known as “The Dragon” in Blount County is expected to affect traffic into July. Expect delays and use extreme caution in the area, as workers will be present. Crews will begin posting signage and mobilizing equipment Monday, April 22, for upcoming resurfacing between Tabcat Creek and the Tennessee/North Carolina state line on U.S. 129.

  3. Joe Roberts is working hard to get a spot in MotoGP next year. Finished second in Moto2, and he is currently the top of the championship standings. Good job!

  4. To the left of your login name, in the top right corner of the page, there is a little envelope. If you hover upon it, it says Messages. This is how you send private messages. Just type the first few letters of my name, and once the search engine identifies me, click on it. I receive notice into my email directly.

  6. Spent the weekend riding, about 40 miles. The new suspension, combined with the new handle bars made for numerous required comfort adjustments, still more to go. Riding into work this morning on the freeway, realized immediately rebound is too much, the other settings may be about right. As for the handlebars, more need for adjustment, as they are not square. The Andreanni cartridges really did make a difference, allowing for preload, compression, and rebound. The specific issues I was experiencing are now gone. I'll continue to refine the settings, and see if I'm not eventually a huge fan as I am with my Traxxion Dynamics setup on my V7. By the way, I successfully replaced the fuel pump, only to later find it was merely the fuel pump fuse. I was so focused on the fuel pump relay, I completely forgot to check the fuse.

  7. Saw The Rolling Stones last night here in Houston! Opening night of the Hackney Diamonds tour…last time they were here was 2019…great show, cool set list and a sold Out crowd! If you want to see a young version of what Tina Turner sounded like you should see this show for the backup singer Chanel…what a voice!! Mick was amazing as always…Ronnie still strutting and Keef sort of low key but enjoying himself! I hope some of you guys get to see them on this tour…what fun!!

  10. The o-rings came today, so I reassembled. I used a little Ospho to get rid of the worst of the white deposits- they're pretty tough. The o-ring grooves in the pintle are 2mm x 11mm, and the opening in the body 14+mm. The o-rings are 2mm x 10mm ID. 11mm + 4mm = 15mm, so 1mm-ish of compression on the installed rings. The only o-rings I could source quickly are 90 durometer; I used a silicone grease to install them, which is fairly sticky. Assembly was straightforward between squeezing in the vise and rotating the pintle gently. Between the hard rings (70 durometer is catalogued but not available quickly) and the sticky grease, the pintle doesn't slide extremely easily; a drop of light oil in the top of the pintle did loosen it a little bit. It will probably loosen a little with fuel exposure, and seems like a tight but manageable turn by hand for someone with thumbs that work. To do over I'd probably use a silicone spray and the softer o-rings. I can say with certainty it's tight enough not to leak. Since I don't have the means here to manage the slot/screw internal stop, I simply used a small punch to ding the top of the thumbwheel a little, which gives a plenty firm stop when it gets to the first thread, as did the compressed stock ring. I'll update further when it's in the fuel.

  11. SO many crashes late in the race. They mentioned weepers. So the track was drying out but the weepers were soaking through and couldn't be seen my the riders? That's awful. Seeing three bikes crash one after the other was pretty bad.
