  1. FYI....This is a great place to rent a bike in Rome..Francesco the owner also has several drop off /pick- up locations around Italy so usually I fly into Rome..get a bike and ride up north to the Alps and later drop it in the North, or from Rome ride down south to Sicily and drop the bike there. He also gives tours all over Italy if you like..usually I just get a bike with a GPS and just take off on my own plan. I have found his prices extremely reasonable and he is very helpful by cell phone if you have any problems or questions while on the road..they have seveal packages you can see on their website..I'm not connected to them in any way other than have gotten great service there so just passing it on! Riccardo runs the Rome office"His claim to fame is being a Moto Guzzi rider and having been the President of the Italian Motorcyclist Coordination movement for 20 years. Riccardo will look after you when you reach our Rome office and solve any kind of issue you may have during your rental." http://www.cimt.it/aboutus.htm ciao!
  2. Not to be out of line with the seller I hope, but I don't see it on this update but I know yesterday it was on flea bay for $4,750..Nice bike, nice guy.
  3. Great looking Motorcycle!
  4. Yes its "my" bike ...lol...and she looks just as nice today as she did when Scud took the picture, with a funny yellow shock and spring he added later...Happy to say!
  5. I recently picked up some of the same paint Scud mentioned and refreshed the Sump pan...matched well and turned out very satisfactory imo.
  6. I'm really looking forward to coming out from California to the S'xteenth South'n Spine Raid..and meeting some of the inmates from around the country........I booked my hotel room and inside parking space this morning!! Hopefully by then a good part of this lockdown can be lifted..I'm itchin to ride....CHEERS!
  7. There was a video around of my bike on You Tube ( not by me) ..but it in NO way does them justice to the way they actually sound in person..it was just start up and idle...and imho thy dont really sound good until you rev the bike a little then the come to life and sound wonderful...like many exhausts though it is very hard to capture the true sound on a smart phone. . cheers!
  8. Yes thats my baby..She's resting peacefully in my shop with that beautiful exhaust system the original owner installed years ago.....:-)
  9. Funny I was just listening to them and was going to post..ha ha...I'm digin the Bass player..he is rockin it!
  10. I got it Bad.....lol... And thats Good..:-)''
  11. Vanson Leathers Competition Weight MK2 proPERF CSRV Sportrider....SIZE 46..LARGE..non smoker and in Perfect condition absolutely no marks or wear anywhere..Funny..It was barely worn....but after two years hanging in my closet the darn thing shrunk a couple sizes on me! $250 plus shipping please.... .
  12. I love the greenie..I swear that bike has a personality of its own...everytime I start looking at my other bikes it draws me back.....I've been changing a few more fasteners..just little ones that had a little tarnish with age ..and at some point here I'm going to service the steering head bearings like you recommended Scud..but other wise I am not changing a thing..I did all the fluids, gear oils, motor oils, etc..and used the paint you recommended in your blog to clean up and refinish the Pan ( matched perfectly imo,) and I tried 4 different types of Rizoma mirrors on her that I had here..but every time I went right back to these chrome Napoleon's you put on......they just seem to suit the look of this bike..they will stay now.
  13. Thank you all..I'm Waiting for a nice un-cloudy day to pull them out and try to get some better Pics..the Bay area has been a little cool and quite cloudy the past couple weeks! I just sit in the shop with a scotch detailing and drooling over them.....
  14. I'm probably in the wrong place to post this..if so..apologies..I'll figure this out soon.. Some of you probably know my bikes better than I do..at this point as both have been listed in this forum before, My "Greenie" was formerly "Scuds Greenie", and My Rosso Mandello is #49 formerly owned by Surj. Ive been riding Italian bikes over 50 years..Mostly Aprilia and Ducati..I havent owned a Moto Guzzi for 3-4 decades when I had a MK1....I Re inspired my self on MG while Riding in Italy 2 years ago and spending some time At Lake Como and in Mandello del Lario..And now I am seriously hooked on the V-11 I love these bikes and just cant get enough riding in, ..that is until this Covid 19 came along. Anyway I'm very proud to own these two bikes and be a part of this addiction ..I havnt put many miles on the RM..but have racked up a few several hundred mile rides on Greenie and she runs just flawless..Kudo's to Scud for all of his Fine work! Thanks All..I'm trying to learn as much as I can from the forum with out being too much of a PITA...lots for me to learn.!!
  15. I have a 2000 Sport Greenie..Red frame..it has the aforementioned tab/mount with the 2 holes I also Have a 2001 Rosso Mandello..Black Frame..It does not have that same mount..... Cheers!
  16. I like "Organic" pads..but they always get your wheels so dirty..
