  1. Martin. Is she running ok after 2000 ?. And Your saying pump doesnt stop after priming ? all the fuel goes thru the Return line, REGULATOR problem ? Checked plug cables at both ends ? and Ohm 5k. Heard of a guy over here now, had a simmilar problem, it would stall at 2000, you didnt say Yours did ? New rpm sensor fixed the problem for him. And like thumper said to, plugs say A lot. My first real season With my 03 Rosso Corsa, had to go thru the Sweet little thing during Winther , great season, tires lasted only 4360km, and today she had to come home in my van,,,,,, she only stopped charging,,, SO DID MY HIROHITO,, ZX12 R. Havent checked anything yet,, quessing regulator, Upgrade maybe. Yul find it, time for another IPA. Cheers tom.

  3. Another reminder to everybody who likes to sort of have control over the sweet Italian. Glad Docc didn't have a nasty experience with the incident. It's easy to check and V easy to forget, is the shaft tight. When you think about it, equal torque on each side of the tiny yoke around the shaft sounds like a good idea . Enjoy the rpm . Cheers tom.

  5. You did say it had a different behavior when you turned the front Wheel,,, did you check the wires in the ignition Lock ? Cheers tom.
  6. would say YES to that, splines on the shaft take care of the flex. May be a little white dot on the bolt and u joint with waterproof marker. What do I know,,,, just like motorcycles Time for another IPA, Cheers tom
  7. Seems to me your thinking the troubled bolt did loosen up and made the u joint to start wiggling, no extra vibration felt during the last few 100m ? Good nothing happened, those things could be nasty. And you will soon forget thinking about rear drive and shaft. How do I know,,, had to change the rear drive on a beemer 1300s on the Autobahn Cheers tom
  8. Black Holes,, hm, had a question the other day about timing sensor behavior. Starts fine and full throttle ok,,,, but dies at 2200 ? New sensor in, all ok. Sorry doc no advice, just another electro Wonder. Did like the comment about Guzzi educating electricians since 21 Cheers tom.
  9. The TPS from Cycle Works,,,, doesnt say Magneti Marelli,,,,, ( probably from east) how cheap is possible to make a potmeter like this. Wish I was capable of making a like forever edition VGS motorsport in Germany sells MM for about 95ish eur. Soon time for 7000music. Cheers tom.

Just wanted to thank the forum for all inputs, IT is actually Nice to find out THINGS about Your bike, and now a big THANKS to Meinolf for the road into the brain , Co = 0 It took a little while to get there. Now I can do any rev, any gear, any speed, and 3 tiny tiny , not even a lady sneeze in around 200miles. That I can live With . Did brake the p spring after 300yards from my house,, no problem spring in Stock and yes Im happy With the extender, feels tighter. Soon time for some 5- 6000rpm Music, ( she is loud in the tunnels, and trips in the Mountains Now time another IPA. Cheers tom

  13. Not saying it's your pump, that was my problem. Your bike was running fine, before tank off? A little plumbing job, a brass T ,hose and a gauge, my pressure was only 1.5bar , should be 3+. Quantum HFP - 385 was the pump I bought. Met a huge german guy on the Autobahn with a souped up Le Mans, me asking is she behaving and so on,,, German guy, ITS A GUZZI. You will find it. Cheers tom.
  14. My Rosso was idling fine but wasnt interested in going somewhere,, fuel pressure was to low. After paying high $ at the dealer for the Whole pump unit,,,,I found a pump that fits, and works for 60$ on Ebay, Company name = highflowfuel, Quantum was the name of the pump,,, (Lifetime warranty,,whatever that means) Red is pressure, and it doesnt matter where the lines go Its no big deal taking the pump unit out, when was the filter changed ? Its a good idea to make sure the big rubber gasket stays put on the pump unit,,, swelling. Cheers tom

  16. Just had to order 15 more Omrons today,,, hmm 25 in stock now Maybe a relay disease. There is 2 V11 for sale here at the moment, 79000kr and 70000kr Finn.no. Someone up here sooner or later. Or is it a dream about a souped up V11. Time for an IPA. Cheers tom.

  18. Shoud have checked,,, but JUST ordered a New one, never been this warm here since 1947, over 30C,, its beer time a lot.
  19. Problem solved,,,,,, of corse the last thing,,, Next time I will check fuel pressure FIRST , she wasnt holding the pressure,,, worn out. New fuel pump around 600 ++ import + tax. Thanks again for helping figure this one out Cheers tom.
  20. Ok something good with the interweb thing. Found a blues station in Texas called Aardvark blues FM .com. 128kbps. West Colombia. They have 2stations ( the blue and grey one). No commercials and lots of great music . Enjoy it. Cheers tom .
  21. Did measure the sensors = same, and there was 2 shims. Put in new o ring,, in the space for it in the block. Probably shoud have done the correct measure,, something, a hole or something visible on gear wheel when turning the motor? If I put a fuel gauge on the pressure line, to see the build up pressure to ex amount in so and so long time , how much is recomended. Thats one thing, seeing the pressure under load is another. The screen under the pump , could hurt the suction ? Started the pump on the bench,,, sounded healty,, doesent mean a lot. Spark plugs say Lean. Thanks for trying to help. Cheers tom.

Plugwires with cap 4.73 and 5.11 ohm , testing the coils ? , out with fuel pump,,, Do I like those plastisc connectors for the fuel lines , NO, filter right way, there isnt exactly a petcock, just the line from the pump. My pressure fuelline goes to the left injector ,,,,,, hm is that correct, or should it go to the right ?? Does it matter. I'll take the blame. Since I did the clutch last year, most of the bolts had been loosened and tightened concerning ground. Cheers Tom
  23. Pressureangle Small report, had a little time late yesterday, did see that both of the spark plugs, that thing on the treads were both loose. That can make a problem. Ok, lets try, a little slow starting, but perfect idling and good respone snapping the trottle. But after 300yards, turn around. Took the plugs out, wish I could send a picture,,,,, Way to lean. She is not getting enough fuel... Extra ground from ECU to battery, extra from regulator to frame. Did I have an internal leak from the fuel pump ? but she is steady on the pressure,,,, is the pressure high enough ? Are my injectors under the influence ? Will check wires for resistance, will find out about coils.. Is it my ECU. cheers tom
  24. Fuel filter new, cam sensor new, tps properly adjusted, just heard from another guy over here, he had problems with the plug wires,,,,, will check that next week. thanks for any advice. cheers tom
