    Quick Stand

redhog, welcome. Your 2 best assets on this forum are the "search" and "FAQ" links at the top of of the page. Here is the center stand FAQ link: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2356 Do a search for "Dunwell" as well....(my preferred option....along with craftsman cycle lift) http://dunwelllifts.com/Pricing_Accessories.html

    L.E.D indicators V11

Some have said that they found 1156 LEDs with a load equalizer/balancer built in (Instead of splicing one in and finding a piece of frame to heat-sink it to). Does anyone have any specific part # LED's that they've had success with? I have a Kissan turn signal module....I wonder how LED's would affect it....it may act as an electronic flasher and not care about the load. As soon as I find a good set of 1156 LEDs, I'll give it a try.
  4. Don't worry I'm cursed with the "disease" as well...I always have to have a project to keep me sane. although my bike is no where near stock....I definitely agree with trispeed's outlook on life of getting them out of the garage and on the road.
  5. hear hear! Although you have to have some hi-flow loud exhaust to part the cager waters when the 405 is dead-stop. haha!
  6. Pete, useful is an understatement....this is unbelievable. Very nicely done with great pics and descriptions. Thanks! Jason

    1st impressions-WOW

Chris, great to hear about the new ride. Do me a favor though....never forget how much you are enjoying it now. I say this because as with all forums, you'll tend to read more about people having problems or working on upgrades....don't worry...there are just as many untold stories of perfectly running bikes and great rides. cheers and enjoy the cult
  8. just to toss in my I have had both the lidless airbox and pods, both of which I have ridden in significant rain without even an hiccup. I do have some K&N rain "resistant" covers I put on my pods for rain or really dusty riding. oil breather hose (basically a rubber fuel line) - go to a parts supply store and buy the same inner diameter but make it about 2.5 feet longer...enough to route down near the fuel tank overflow line under the bike. air temp sensor - I used the solution elsewhere on this forum and modified a 35mm film canister (with one end open) and zip tied it near the right throttle body in a manner so that it would stay dry and minimize sensing hot air coming from engines. I have the pods now and will keep it that way...I love the no airbox look. And for me, the honk of the open lid was too much on long rides. cheers
  9. ya, I have these from Rosso, excellent quality product. only difference from the picture...the current versions have black instead of white sliders....I like them this way....much less "bling" looking. Rosso were great folks to deal with, give them an email and ask for Paolo...his English is very good. cheers jason
  10. yup...just dremil the little flange off the bottom (that otherwise would insert into the bar end) to make a flush surface to mount through the lever hole with a lock nut on the otherside. works great and hardly any vibration in mirrors.
  11. I'll go ahead and speak up for Jedi. He had a welder do some magic and made a 2nd port, sounds great....though he's still having a lack of power mid-high rpms. I know's he's been in email contact with GB and Quat lately and trying to come up with new internal design.
  12. ha ha...no worries...just had to return the shit giving.
  13. alrighty buddy, I think all of our jaeger shots after the track day impaired your memory....ha ha. we didn't touch the compression on my R&T forks that day...... Todd just gave a few more clicks of rebound dampening and it worked great for my riding style. In conversation, the professional suspension guy (who's used to tuning actual race bikes) made the comment that the Superbike forks were the only ones out that that truly had enough compression. I doubt there are too many people outside of a circuit who could truly say that a $8000 - $10000 (and that's online prices) Superbike fork is the only thing that can handle their riding. I'm also glad I paid no where near $2000 for my R&T forks. I just wished the damn things weren't gold....messed up my paint scheme....If I ever have them rebuilt, they're getting re-anodized. ha ha. cheers jason
  14. yup, it was there along with the Breva 1100 and the rest of the line. All were available to sit on.
  15. I took a look at the Kendon lift yesterday at the Long Beach Cycle Show. Very nicely made and compresses and rolls away nicely for storage (important to me). One neat feature, you can remove both the front and rear sections to drop either or both of a bike's wheels. They sell a special jack that fits into the track and holds the bike up. The representative also said they were coming out with a air operated version. that all being said, $599 seems overpriced for such a simple design.
  16. v50man / frankie100chilie.....are you out there? I searched the forums but didn't see where you ever posted dyno results from the newer style Quat-D. Any chance you have any additional info? We're all curious. cheers
  17. http://guzzi.daytona-it.com/ click on V11 parts....he has a sweet looking carbon fiber tail in production now.
  18. both Jedione and I had a local guy cover the foam with a nicer fabric…looks great. Jedi used his racer red to match his seat. I used some left over Rich Maund carbon fiber "look-a-like" vinyl and had the guy recover the tank pad and butt pad on the passenger seat cover to match my Maund seat. Looks much better than the sun-faded and gas stained foam.
  19. yes, I installed the fork. Haven't changed the rear....yet. still have the stock Sachs.
  20. Figured I'd finally add a pic of my green machine...this one from Laguna. I'll try to replace it down the road with a pic without me in it too
  21. mike remembers correctly, you do not need to remove the fuel cap. Just get your finger tips under the front lip and give a yank straight up. and while you have it off, recover the ugly gas stained pos foam with something prettier. cheers jason
  22. hi mike, If I were to get a lift, I'd probably go with one of these that one can fold up and get out of the way. http://kendonusa.com/lift.htm I have one of their trailers, excellent quality. cheers, jason
  23. make it 3 cans and we almost have a deal. ha ha!
