  2. Unlucky docc, I saw the photos and went straight out to check my exhaust supports , although i dont use the H&B bags, so is that the subframe cracked or a H&B bolt on part!!!. Gary
  3. Nice pics, saw the blue skys and thought photoshop Where abouts in Ireland are they taken.
  4. Well thats really bland and a heart attack maker. Congrats on the new bike, have seen the deals on offer for the vfr, good deals, chap down the road from me bought one of the first in the UK, must be kicking himself now. Thinking of a new bike myself, waiting to see the new triumph tiger 800 Gary
  5. Hi I kave had the rocker covers off quite a few times now but never changed a gasket .Just put alight touch of grease on the gaskets so they dont tear when taking off the covers and keep re using them. Off course you must have a spare couple to clutter up the garage as well (just in case).
  6. Hello James Still lusting after the 1200 sport i see (what colour is it!! a fastblack or a eberdeen red), I was impressed with them at the northern ireland meeting. Antonio,s was LOUD. I can see one in my future too Fairlie sureley Gary
  7. Hmm VFR1200, Not exactly a looker Make sure its not one of those with the dodgy engines (swarf). Thinking of a new bike as well. Not sure what, but i know it wont be japanese as i dont like built in blandness. What guzzi dealer are you using!! as it could be them not giving a toss. Anyway enjoy whatever you buy.

    Rear drive

Very interesting thread. I have had RLSPH in the rear drive for over 20,000 miles, OK i have had some come out of the vent after a spirited ride . But never a leak anywhere else. I keep it at the lowest level at the level plug and check regularly. Are you saying that redline is damaging seals
  9. Most have been quite a sight wheres the evidence . I was at the v twin rally last weekend in the south of england and spoke to a owner of a cafe sport (not quite the same)but no bike with him, Pity would have liked to see another one
  10. After a long run this weekend i noticed grease running from the axle (drive side) looks like its escaping from the needle roller/washer area. I have changed the tyre recently and re greased everything, would it just be the excess or could it be a seal gone. Gary

    Tire time

I have just bought a new rear roadsmart. Last one was done at 3800 miles, same as the Z6,s i had before that. Wonder how people can get different mileages from there tyres. I run mine at 38psi rear and 36psi front.
  12. I havent posted it , away working right now but will post when i get back.C:\Documents and Settings\gary\Desktop\v11\P1010078.JPG
  13. Could it be the needle roller bearing on the rear drive, did you check it when the wheel was out
  14. I have seen the rear fender fitted on a rosso corsa and never noticed any difference in colour. Its in the shade on the back so i doubt anyone would notice it.

    Guzzichondria

I used to worry about nearly every single sound on a bike (not just the guzzi). Now i wear earplugs when out on the bike and all is well
  16. Wonder how many different tranny covers there are then. my one has like a wishbone plate covering both cogs, held on by a bolt at the side and 2 extra circlips, you remove the circlips and slacken the bolt from the other side of the case this raises the plate so you can turn it 180 degrees to gain access to the other circlips so you can remove the cogs and change the spring.
  17. You can see where the pin comes from in Slaveks pic, In the upper cog inner circle you can see 5 pins (well half of each of them). One of mine fell out, when i lifted out the cog when i was changing my spring as well, just pop it back in and all is well. Gary
  18. Before i re fitted the plate i put the gear lever on it and shifted the mechanism to make sure i had 1 down 5 up and not 2 down 4 up or something else
  19. Yes thats definetely food for thought, what did you do to convert it.
  20. Hi Andy Things are fine up here, well not at home where its pouring down, but im at work and the weather is great so im not bothered. Saw Harry 2 weeks ago, havent heard from James but he is supposedly thinking of going to the v twin rally. I have my ticket, are you going. Oh and to keep the thread on topic where did you get the part nos. Gary
  21. I am not near my bike to check but i think the cable goes to the right side throttle body!!. Its tied to the plate that moves when you open the throttle (I think) If not start at the sump
  22. I havent seen a unique no. for the cafe sport seat, the no. in the diagram i have is the same no. for your common, run of the mill V11 . Did you contact reboot guzzi spares to see if there one is any good!!.
