  1. inside the part that straddles the steering stem, right side.. where the lower frame struts are welded to the neck. it cut/worn a round hole from the exposed part of the frame tube.
  2. I went to look over this 2000 Sport cause the price is around $3,000.us.. the tank has a leak from ethanol swelling (I guess). rubbed against the right side frame/steering yoke area.. just noticed my spare tank has the same swelling but not all the way thru.. the speedo needle looks like new compared to the tach.. bike needs a good clean up, has oily mist or the leaky gas on it.. sounded good, no extra clatter in the motor, Akropovic, stock x-over. some paint scratches.. steer clean or offersomething like $2500?
  3. I've had many bikes apart albeit not a 85 Lemans.. have never seen a tapered split spacer like that. I can't reason a taper for an axle spacer. does it have a funky after market centerstand or something?
  4. How do you post a full size code.. I'm not allowed to anymore. ?
  5. don't recognize it at all.. I'll say it's extra and not part of the bike.
  6. thx but a lot of the pics no longer show up..
  7. is there a link to the fix with pics? sure would be nice to stash a hard copy under my seat with the spare spring I carry..
  8. we don't have any shade either, Yet.. but the snow is all melted finally..
  9. looks like shade is more scarce that rain..
  10. Lucky guy! wish I were the new owner.. there's a black one here about to go for $3800.. (12k miles)
  11. mine does that too and it IS the clutch.
  12. you could have a clever guy weld a piece onto the shifter you have if that material can be welded. whats your location?
  13. wow that is way too high, I got mine back for $900. and they paid me over $4k for the bike, then never reported it as totaled so I still have clean title and insurance through different company. replaced the clutch lever, bent the brake lever back in place, took off busted Swannee and luggage and she ran as good as new.. cosmetically it needed a new crash bar too. I had to heal up two busted ribs.
  14. any Griso being parted out will probably be wadded up in the fork area.. best look to Suzuki.. why do you need radial mounted brakes?
  15. It goes above the spacer. how did that happen?
  16. you might be offered a buy back from insurance for just a few hundred dollars.. get it and part out yourself if you can..
  17. No Roper plate, not enough oil pumped at launch.
  18. It would be good advice to drop the pan and put your own hose clamp on the new filter so it won't spin off when least desireable. I never use the manhole cover to access the filter, the threads are not very deep and I fear they could be stripped easily.
  19. your a lucky guy! I did that with the lead shot..
  20. my thoughts too, plus that Griso dash thing where it goes bad and the bike no run..
  21. FUN, thx 4 posting!
  22. ditch the 3 Honda 500's from the list and add the V7, Griso and KTM 390 Duke.
  23. It's a video documenary, maybe you can find it somewhere else, some of the racing in phenominal. Ewan McGregor narrates this adrenaline-pumping documentary that captures the thrilling, terrifying reality of MotoGP racing. Filmmaker Mark Neale gets behind the scenes with unprecedented access to shoot some of the sport's most electrifying footage.
