  1. are you sure? my mistral x-over seemed to increase low end and even midrange.. my motor comes alive at 4k now instead of 5k. best improvement I have made.
  2. 1994 SL1 wagon.. uses the same oil filter as all the recent Tonti frame motors!
  3. What pisses me off is this dictator moderator squeezes his way on in just a few years has taken over control.. I like to be able to ask the people stuff about my wife's saturn or hear about Luthiers guitar building etc... but now strictly guzzi or nothing? surely there could be other ways to control the real problem members rather than offend the people who are on the board because of it's broad range of discussion and expertise. giving that power to a recluse on an Island off Alaska with a his own complete set of standards is too much for me so I left.
  4. been watching ebay often and not found any... I was going to get a free set ( I won't mention from who) but he never came through after many emails saying they were ready to ship.. this was a year ago.
  5. I'd like them but won't shipping to the US kill me?
  6. would it be crazy to try to mod these to fit my Lemans? my cans were hacked by the Po and sound lousy. http://minneapolis.c...1700386647.html
  7. are those peg mounts sturdy enough for that?
  8. the complete motor w/alt, clutch, CPU, tranny etc is all for sale very reasonable.. on MGNOC want adds.
  9. Oh, Ok, thanks for that clearing that up. but I'm off the idea now as your pics helped me visualize the air intake situation..I wish I had the bucks and time to do a project w/the Q but can't fit it in... wouldn't that make a cool BOAT motor or trike or dune buggy?
  10. Interesting... so it looks like the Q has the p8 cpu? i thought it was a 15M?
  11. .. does the Quota motor use the same timing cover/frame mount as my 02 Lemans? If I had a cover from say an EV, could the motor be put in said EV frame? would the single TB with a pod filter fit w/in the tonti frame and still fit a battery? have you done it? show me pic please. would it be better to use a loop frame?
  12. Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter. He told them that before they could enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they had to tell him what Easter represented. The first blonde, an American, said "Easter is a holiday where they have a big feast and we give thanks and eat turkey." St. Peter said, "No," and he banished her to Hell. The second blonde, a Brit, said "Easter is when we celebrate Jesus' birth and exchange gifts." St. Peter said, "No," and he banished her to Hell. The third blonde, a Canadian, said "Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having the Passover feast with His disciples when He was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested Him. The Romans hung Him on the cross and eventually He died. Then they buried Him in a tomb behind a very large boulder..." St. Peter said, "Very good." ...then the blonde continued, "Now, every year the Jews roll away the boulder and Jesus comes out... If he sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of hockey!"
  13. find the manuals here, http://www.thisoldtractor.com/gtbender/moto_guzzi_misc.htm#gtb_workshop_manuals
  14. you can reuse those gaskets forever. just use care when you remove the cover so they don't tear.
  15. I used these found in my junk box from an old G5 or such under the seat... my dash is nice and stable now with a little bit of cush.
  16. the PO hacked mine w/a hatchet or something.. the sound is not good, I have stuffed some baffle material in there as I'm too cheap to buy replacements.. wanna trade?
  17. If it won't start then the new sensor has too big or little gap.. If you put it in w/the same space as the original and the bike runs your good to go.. My EV motor in a Convert has too big a gap on the flywheel sensor but it still picks up and the bike runs fine.
  18. been off the forum awhile, missed you guys but i got all wrapped up in my kids high school hockey team.. Yup, the Edina Hornets won the State HS Championship which is huge here in Minnesota "the state of hockey". It's like winning the Super Bowl in High School and the competition is fierce. I was not allowed to shoot the tournament (rules, poohee) but I did shoot the game that got us in.. my kid (#5) scores the 2nd goal in a 3-2 win. if you watch it you can bump up the quality in the pop up, lower right corner from 320p to 720pHD.
  19. your a LUCKY GUY!
  20. Steve Peterson (He was at the brunch) has made some nice stubby pegs from gun barrels, they bolt up in about the same place as your pic.. We should get him to make sets for both of us. Brad
  21. to quote my Dad, "Vee git to soon old, unde to late wise." Hi Ben, I missed introducing myself at the brunch, I sat down at the other end of the table but had to leave before everyone else. hope to see ya again sometime!
  22. how does it run? lots of vibration at and just off idle? then yes, a tweaking would help that.. if your happy with the ride don't mess with it.
  23. what you really need is a connection to route the coil voltage to the handlebars once the tether gets pulled.. course he'd drop your bike but the wow factor could be worth it.
