another failure to learn from the past.. the first version of the Convert came with a pressed steel plate for a fly wheel, it was about 3 pounds and thin.. the same thing happened to them where they spun the middle right out, the fix was a 15 pound flywheel with starting gear in one piece.
this is the thin one I modded to trigger the crank sensor on a EV motor,
and here's what the other one looked like,
are you confused by the term base setting? the 150mv is with no throttle stop at all, then you increase to 465Mv (or what ever) with the idle adjusting screw..
I still can, fn relax, I'm really torn on getting a griso 1100. The great community is leaning me that way, butt the all out hooliganism of the Duke, it sings to me with its siren song
well shucks, I thought you wanted the RC8.
I got 9,000 miles out of my Pirelli Diablo xxxxxxx forgot the model but they don't make them now, should I just get the Angels? whats this Night Dragon?
not sure the sport Demon comes in my size but the price is right on them.and the Diablo.
give me sage advice but I'm done w/Metzlers..
I can get this
Pirelli Rear Diablo 180/55ZR-17 Blackwall Tire
for 103.00 US
$102.99 * Pirelli Front Diablo 120/70ZR-17 Blackwall Tire
or Pirelli Front Angel St 120/70ZR-17 Blackwall Tire 107.00
Pirelli Rear Angel St 180/55ZR-17 Blackwall Tire 140.00
I think it all revolves around your physical size.. If 6 feet or over you can probably handle it fine as a learner bike.. small guy? learn on a smaller bike but the Ducati's you mention might have a little too much spunk as a first bike.
have you ever used a clutch? a lighter bike will be easier to learn that part.
I don't know the particulars but a few (RM and Scurra) came w/a single plate clutch and don't seem to last as long and the old standby dual plate clutch.
I love mine for touring w/HB bags its a pleasure but I ussually leave the top box off, it's like a sail.
here's what I think I know from many miles towing behind Tonti frame bikes. 1) best to keep the mount at or below axle height. 2) A long tongue keeps rig from swaying.
