  1. you look like a very special Grampa, I woulda said GREAT GRAMPA but then you'd be twice as old.. I hope that never happens to me but I do have 3 kids..
  2. yes, if a doofus like me can bring it to near perfect tune w/ a little software and the web for knowledge you'll wonder why you didn't buy one years ago..
  3. I hear Zack had an off and is on crutches so the 8v is out but maybe a little ride is in order anyway this weekend, lost your number tho Ben.
  4. can we go make a movie with it this weekend? I'll try and get Zack on his new Griso 8v and we'll do gopro and more in some curves of your choice?
  5. Just met a guy with this Lemans, it runs nice, has 10k, good pirelli's, has had a slow crash, edge of left fairing scraped, he replaced head guard and the sump (sidestand broke it's mount) asking 4k or trade for a 750 Breva.. send me a pm for contact info..
  6. there is a V11 Lemans in black locally,(not a Nero) 10k miles, 2004, I just did a VDST check on it.. $4000. ! guy will trade for a 750 Breva if anyone has interest I can put you in touch. was that your dorso at the Wheel of Italy yesterday?
  7. I would start with the battery connections and the ground strap to motor/frame.. clean and tighten.
  8. on the roadside shot, why did you remove the header, does it have to come off?
  9. thanks a lot for re posting these photos.. I never had a problem but I carry a spare spring.. now I'll print the directions so I will know what to do roadside if it happens to me.
  10. I've been using ipod a lot lately on my bike, mostly hearing Grateful Dead and the Band.
  11. ask over at wildguzzi.com there are some guys using Vapor units and others.
  12. make sure your audio is up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPM_hvkVaF4
  13. could something be interfering with the throttle linkage rod?
  14. its a '74 LAPD Eldorado.. thats not Greg Fields bike is it?
  15. thats a great price! the manhole cover to the oil filter has some very fine threads, be careful with it.. I never use it but drop the sump instead.. then you can lock the oil filter in with a hose clamp (do a search). mine is an 02 also.. they say the shift return spring can break, I've had no problem for 20k miles but I carry a spare. I think the tanks slides to the rear then up after you take out the bolt, been awhile, anyone else? I put on a Mistral xover to settle the revs at around 3-4k. if it has an Odessey battery that life is true but I might get a new one before a trip. I have the pc545. the oil drain is the smaller of the two bolts in the rear of the pan. your gonna LOVE IT!
  16. cross the Mississippi on the Cassville Ferry!
  17. perfect discription of how my bike ran before the M crossover, a close scrutiny of the TB balance and having the VDST program has pretty much solved it for me.. still hesitates in the morning until the crossover warms up to temp.
