Hmm, I’m seeing @Scud’s messaging as available (?) [edit: @FreyZI, click on Scud's username to open his profile. In the banner at the top click on "Message" and see if it opens a messaging window for you . . . ] A spring swap at a SpineRaid…. ……best avert your eyes!

Ah, @belfastguzzi gave us the earliest taste of just how bold we should be with the V11 shift plate . . . * not for the squeamish! * https://www.flickr.com/photos/belfastguzzi/sets/72157625688157804/

This makes me feel less reticent about waiting so impatiently to get my family fiddle back from a trusted and renowned Nashville luthier. These magical touches upon our "instruments" take time and care. -
Ah, yes, an aware owner and a "talisman spring." The Real-Deal SuperSpring (accept no substitutes):

Does the pushrod have to be changed going from a factory single plate to the factory twin plate? Or is that only for the aftermarket RAM installation ?

Don't stop now! It just snowed a fourth time here in January. We're counting on you guys to keep our fires kindled! Pay you back in June . . .

Welldone, Sir! My notes say "#112 Viton" for that O-ring . . .

If they don't leak, why mess with them? Pretty sure mine are an integral part of the head by now . . .

Others have swapped from the single to double plate clutch and can speak more to this. You will need to change your gearbox input hub to the twin plate type 01211640. I'm trying recall if the clutch pushrod has to be slightly modified? Also, Scud has the Chuck-designed Scud SuperSpring for the shift pawl. Be sure to complete the LuckyPhil Shift Improvement mods along with other advice in this thread:

Yah: poignant - "Trailing >off< the brakes" . . .

"Cold Desert Rat" sounds like a menu item on an Oregon food truck out past Deschutes toward Burns . . . Just kidding, buddy. Welcome to you and your Scura. There is whole nest of darkness here (Scura-types) to keep you company.

Very, very soon the collective V11 Community is going to announce the finalization of Beta Testing of the V11 series. Well, pretty soon. You know, give or take . . .

With as many V11 as you have @Guzzimax, it's more like an orgy on a loaf of crusty bread . . .

"210" Plastic Cleaner and Polish is amazing for shiny plastic surfaces, but for that matte surface I would try to restore them with Shin-Etsu grease. Let it soak soak in then buff with a soft brush. As always, "Test in a small obscured area first" . . .

As this thread evolved to contribute to our relay sourcing, I propose the "answer" to @p6x's starting issue be posted in his "jump start" thread: -
I concur. I "officially" posted this protest in 2017. People thought I was kidding.

Making things better, one >reply and link< at a time . . .

2014 is pretty old post/thread to ask after. Yet, our good man chamberlin checked in less than a year ago. Let's see if he gets a notification this way: How 'bout it, @chamberlin ?
