  1. Spring is approaching even up north, still a month or so before we can expect to go on our first ride of the season. This means we get a little (spending-)crazy. I'll mail the Guzziladen guy and check out what he can offer. Däs and/or Dynotec was supplying PVMs for Guzzis too AFAIK.
  2. Hmm, are you sure? I seem to remember that Paul said that but later reversed that... Paul? JM, hope you see this, how much did you pay for the 10-spoke-PVMs? The 20-spokes get a little too busy IMHO: These PVMs are nice too:
  3. I rather take the OZ wheels myself, but the 10-spoke PVMs are tasty do you know if a hinterrad of those are available with Guzzi-drive?
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=7960406298 Starting bid: EUR 1,111.00 Buy it Now: EUR 1,299.00 A bit cheaper then the OZ wheels fron Ghezzi&Brian (EUR 1700).
  5. small update: I removed my heads and went to EMP today. He will look for suitable better flowing stainless valves. First he thought the heads have had some mild porting before because of Luigi's handiwork (very smooth compared to most other untouched heads). The first suggestion after a quick inspection was - some porting work - 1-2 mm larger better flowing valves - a moderate pocketing (under 1 mm) He will do a closer inspection and some digging in Ferrea valve catalogues and call me back with a final suggestion and price estimation.
  6. I had a SD100 but I am switching to a SD110. The bike is in pieces right now and I am removing th oil cooler when it is put together again (V-sump benefit). I also have a different lower yoke since I have a Paioli fork instead of the stock Marzocchi, so the geometry get a little different. The best I can give you is this pic: http://kirra.net/v11/nuda5.jpg I get very close to the oil cooler but it do work, it was even less tight with the original fork/yoke. My frame is a 2001, geometry changed a bit in 2002 and on.
  7. Laverda did a V6, not only ridable it was a competetive endurence racer: nice sound too: http://www.rsphysse.anu.edu.au/~stb107/lav...6accelerate.mp3
  8. The unit fitted on our bike is crap Remove it and take test drive without it and you will know how bad it is for the handling of the bike, it make everything unnessacary stiff even in it's loosest setting. An Öhlins or HyperPro unit with loose setting is unnoticable until you need it, that is what I want and got.

    Wet Rosso

Washing is overrate As with the engine room in a car protected ignition and other open electrical pasrt before applying high water pressures. BTW Tex new sig-image is from the Swedish film Kopps Funny movie: http://swedish.imdb.com/title/tt0339230/ if for nothing else check out the female lead, Eva Röse:
  10. Just get a longer bolt and some appropriate washers and you will get good steady mount between the lower joke and the middle of the damper. Only problem is that it gets very close to the oil cooler.
  11. You must remove ugly orange things from the calipers! if your local police complains, explain to them that the removal was order by the "European Union Fashion Police"
  12. tuned and made to fit are quiet expensive for any bike, small markets like Guzzis in America gives less choice and even higher prices. If you are willing and able you can always get away cheap by applying some american race technology (sledgehammer) - get some used cans cheap on ebay (2" inlet) - get some bent tubes from a local autoshop - get or make some hangers this one looks nice:
  13. no €€€€ to Bill, this is Linux my friend
  14. That's not so bad. I will try get pair myself. We have snow too, still 1/2 meter, but no new snow for over a week now, so garage season is starting to get into rush mode.
  15. what product code? IW20? How expensive are they?
  16. My revlimiter is at 9k, I have hit it a couple of times. You shouldn't go higher then that I think. The pistons speed is approaching what is consider the safety limit in a street bike engine. 8000 rpm = 21,33 m/s 9000 rpm = 24 m/s I read somewhere that 24 m/s should be consider the limit. calculus: 80 mm stroke * 2 (up/down) * 9000 rpm / 60 sek/minute = 24 m/s
  17. Rune, a not uncommon name among scandinavian men.
  18. Nice Juha, I was pondering if I would dare to get in there with the dremel myself. But since I need to pocket the valve seats a bit anyway I will let Mats at EMP do the porting work too. I'll discuss the valve bit too with him and hear what he recommend. Tuning is fun, if it just would stop snowing so I could spend some of my free time at home in the garage instead of showeling snow
  19. Well, I am tuning the engine a bit, soo.. I live 1000 km north of Stockholm so high temperatures are not a problem most days. I hope I get the MotoSpezial catalogue next week, The plan: I think I will order a V-sump, remove the cooler and get some kind of oil temp meter (a good thing to have anyway on any tuned engine).
  20. I heard somewhere that a V-sump would keep the oil temp at approriate levels even with the stock oil cooler? I contemplating buying a Moto Spezial V-sump and would love to get rid of the oil cooler if it is safe. any advise?
  21. Not that I would recommend it to anyone who want a ready to run exhaust. This is my setup: Homemade 2into1 with Supertrapp megaphone, the sound level is adjustable and the sound is on the raw side. Very low weight and nice looks and sound IMHO.
  22. I found this: at http://www.ricambi-weiss.de/shop/catalog/p...products_id=129 unfortunely it is out of stock at the moment, I just mailed them and asked when it is expected to be available again. Surely it is not magni quality and it is unpainted, but at 60 euros it is a small risk.
  23. Arrrgh! why are they doing this to me, now I need those wheels but where do I get the cash?
  24. Excellent, only 1500 km from home Are there any ferries from Göteborg to Jylland so my poor arse can get some recovery time before joining the meeting.
  25. The Bulldog is actually quiet nice looking, build and designed by Yamaha Italia http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/btworld/
