  1. Unless you have an O2-sensor how would the EFI know? And even if it did an adaptive EFI usually adapt within the limits of normal variations in fuel, air, temperature etc. Modifications on the engine requires a new FI-map.
  2. OK, OK, released today is this video. Some summer depression with Mr Skinner
  3. Going to the HD dealers in Europe is like "give us all of this month's salary for every little thing in the shop". Over here new Harleys are sold exclusively to people with too much money and too little common sense. Prices for spares and accessories are adjusted to that fact.
  4. Clog dance in english. We use clogs in Sweden too, but our clogs in more like convenient work shoes. Dutch clogs: Swedish clogs:
  5. It's a pastiche of classic german disco. It's all for fun and the song isn't a master piece, but the ugly truth is play it a few times and you will catch yourself humming
  6. Back to the subject! It's summertime! and to salubrate that the swedish music industry brings you Günther
  7. .. but that has little to do with american law.
  8. RC-1200:s helps the aural experience subjectively the engine felt a bit more responsive after the removal of the airbox, but I think unrestricting the flow on the exhaust side too is necessary to make a real difference.
  9. Tervetuloa Johnny, Mars->October guess you live in southern Finland. I'll try to answer some of the Qs. 1. For Mistrals try Duilio Agostini, nice guys, english is OK. 2&3. TLM is another source of most things for your Guzzi on the net 4. My powercommande cost me 4500 SEK, about 500 euros, mapping in dynobench will be around 2500 SEK / 270 euro to get the full value of your performance mods mapping is the way to go, also you don't want to run lean (= hot) which is always a risk when opening the air/exhaust flow. There are some map for different configs available on the net but every engine is a little different so mapping is better. You also get a fun day at a motor tuner and cool charts to post on the internet. 5. K&N. I use the model RC-1200 which is a conical filter with no intake runner. Others on the forum prefer another model with runner and straight form. 6. Dymag no longer make Guzzi wheels, shaft drive was too special for the small market. Your options are PVM and OZ from Brian&Ghezzi AFAIK. 7 Yes, do it, it is simple. The idle should be at a litte over 1000 rpm.

    Best helmet?

Helmets are for protection so that is the No 1 feature. Any multi fiber race helmet from AGV, Shoei, Suomy, Arai, X-Lite is a good choice. Pick the one the has a good (tight) fit on your head. Comfort features like flip-up-front, fast lock straps are no-nos so is buying cheap plastic helmets.
  11. The first reel is a forest road similar to the nature and road you find around here where I live. Forest road the 2nd is more even more exotic, high up in the scandinavian mountains Mountain road

Bosch 0 332 207 307 available at your local auto electric shop, think I payed 435 kronor for a set of 5
  13. 170/60 was mounted when the up-to-2001 bikes where delivered, which is a little wide for the 4.5" rim. Many people including me has moved to 160/60 which should be a better fit. From 2002 the rim is 5.5" and an 180/55 should be ideal for the wider rim.
  14. HyperPro steering dampers are top of the line, comparable to Öhlins units. Only heard praise on swedish sport bike and racing fora. Only complaint is that it is expensive.
  15. I did ride my red-frame without the bitubo for a while but I seen some serious cases of tank slap, so I got a use Öhlins damper and slapped it on.
  16. Capirex, 9 times, 3rd row tomorrow. Rossi in 2nd row!! I think it will be a battle between Sete and Biaggi again. No rain in forecast, This will be FUN!
  17. I was listening too, but to another song. Just started the Guzzi for the first time this season. The new Supertrapp megaphone sounds If only my prototype 2into1 don't fall apart this will be very cool. Think I have to load a fatter mapp into the PCIII until I get it on a dyno.

    Any ideas?

Could also be a flakey battery, strange problem often occures when the acku is about to give up. In Europe Bosch parts are high quality at decent prices, sorry no part number but your local car electric shop should be able to help you out.
  19. Drill'em like jimjib, check this old thread The other problem with the stock muffler being big and heavy is not as easily fixed.
  20. PLS remind me, is this the single plate clutch or the normal multiplate?
  21. Sören, Catholics have more trust in the mercy of God than us doubtful protestants. Bless them. Wish I had more faith, sometimes I too feel like an scary old fart but I blame it all on my "religious" upbringing.
  22. Well, I have cut one open. Indeed there is a mesh with some damping material between it and the wall 3-4 mm perhaps and a couple of bolts from top to bottom. The damping it more to reduce noise/resonance from the crossover than restricting flow.
  23. cheaper, a low budget alternative to big Ö clearly better than the Kayabas mounted on most Jap bikes and probably better than the Boge unit on our sports.
  24. The trick is the reduce noise to an acceptable level while not restricting flow more than absolutly necessary. A bit of experience and experiments are required to find the optimal mix. It should also be lightweight and nice looking. Regarding looks my favorites are: Kerker Meg and Yoshimura Tri-Oval and Akrapovic of course. All of these givies good results in power increase and are available for Guzzis but on the other hand slipons are easily adapted.
